Please avoid this organization. Maybe the company itself is okay,.not sure. But, the contractor they sent to build my deck is horrible.\r 3 day job took multiple extensions and returns due to slip shod work,cutting corners,...leaving doors,steps,walls crooked. Steps so terrible they rebuilt three times. The office assured me the stps would be totally rebuilt on try 3, but, as happened many times during process the contractor did not do what the project director at Fnce masters told us he would do. We finally after weeks of trying just told them to leave. We have steps that are uneven,..stepping down is a hazard and dangerous. But, we just couldn't deal with them anymore.\r This...on a15k deck!\r Avoid avoid avoid. Hire anyone but Fence masters. more

Terrible Service 7/11/2012

I just had a vinyl picket fence installed in my yard. The installation was scheduled for a Friday since we would be out to town until Thursday. I specifically told Erik this as we have dogs who would have spent the day going crazy with workers in the yard all day. When we returned home on Thursday, they were well into work and had been at my house for hours with no notice. After a second full day of working (I was told by the salesman that it would take one day), there were a few things that needed to be completed including the installation of a final panel due to some missing parts. We were assured that they would return and finish it first thing Saturday morning. That entire day we received no calls and they didn't show. On Sunday, they called and came out around 1 to finish the work with plenty of excuses for their absence the day before. Finally on Wednesday morning, I called and spoke to Erik directly. He informed me that he was told the job was done and promised to send a worker ""right away."" Five hours later, the worker arrived and again tried to cut corners. In the end the job is done and the fence looks nice, but it was more hassle than it's worth dealing with this company. New Fence 8/22/2011

Used this company twice, great people to work with. They did my business commercial fence and it came out great, so I called them for two of my homes. These are the real deal, the go to guys for all my fence needs. Would use them time and time again. more

New Fence Installation 8/22/2011

I called Fence Masters after 3 other fence companies would not set a date for an estimate. The salesman was more than helpful and gave me 2 different prices with the options that I needed. The installation crew was the best that I have ever seen, on time and did an amazing job. The fence is the best looking fence in my neighborhood and I am very proud of the work that was done. The job went 100% better than I expected. Me and my family would use them time and time again. I know that 2 of my neighbors are now getting fence's installed by Fence Masters and they have had nothing but good to say about the company. I would highly recommend this company time and time again. more

Worst Experience, Worst Customer Service!! 8/17/2011

I placed a deposit with Fence Masters to have a vinyl picket fence installed in my backyard. I gave the salesman a $2,000 deposit and set a date to have the fence installed. There was a 4-5 week wait which I was fine with. Three days after I made the deposit the utility company came out and flagged/sprayed the yard. This should have been my first sign of bad service. I called my salesman asking why this was done so early, the grass will grow out and it will have to be done again. He didn't have a decent answer. I told him this has to be redone before any digging is done. Three weeks later I get a call stating that the fence will be installed in two days. I tell the person on the phone that the marking need to be redone. He responded with frustration and a horrible attitude, he threatened to refund my money. I told him to go ahead and do it. Then the owner calls, I tell him my situation only to get receive more attitude. I ultimately got my money back. The lack of organization and professionalism makes me so happy that they didn't install my fence or get any of my money. STAY AWAY FROM FENCE MASTERS!!! more

PERFECT CRAFTSMANSHIP 6/27/2005

I needed an old fashioned picket fence installed on my new home. I was surprised that they gave me such a great price on the fence that I wanted considering they are a business located in Hinsdale. Businesses located in this area generally are very very expensive due to their clientele not being wealthy and not concerned with prices. Their construction and installation of the fence was perfect and matched the house perfectly. I was very happy with the person that sold me the fence as he knew what type of fence would suit my style of house and the particular color that would work best also.
