Used Father and Son for last 15 years, including replacement of compressors, etc. Found them reliable, capable and reasonably priced. more

on 11-19-2013 we called father&son , our air blower motor was not coming on. We live in Seminole FL. so mike the tech. arrived within a couple of hrs.he knew right away what the problem was, a capacitor on the blower and one on the airconditioner itself, mike was able to replace both within 1/2 HR. The charges $84.00 service charge, 90.00 ea. capacitor total$264.00 i thought the service was fair although that amounts to $168.00 hr. I did think the parts were excessive ,I had did some checking with a friend that has been in the business 40+ yrs. he advised that the capacitors $3.00 $4.00 ea. cost, average retail $8.00 $16.00. I had furnished him with the parts#s.i went back and checked on line not believing someone could take advantage of anyone to this extent, but its true they can, and did.It may be time that someone contact the attorney general in the state of Fl. Practices of this substance should not be allowed in any state, and should not be accepted by anyone without review.Would not advise anyone to use this CO. more

Worst Experience Ever!!!! Stay Away @L@ 4/3/2012

I would give Father and Sons a negative rating if I could. We recently bought a new a/c system from them. The inside unit is fine, but the outside unit is covered with damage on all sides. They refused to replace it. Is it common practice to sell damaged units as new?!?! We called within an hour or two of them leaving - as soon as we noticed the damage. First they tried to blame it on me and then on the manufacturer, Goodman. The Goodman rep came out to look at it and actually told us that he would have to open 10 new ones to find one with less damage. No matter, the installer should have seen the damage and gotten us an undamaged one. Our 16 year old Goodman unit with a very open wire cage had almost no damage, while the brand new one with a much more enclosed cage has damage on all sides?!?! Neither the Goodman rep nor the company had any response to that. After I said that we wanted a new unit, the rep said that the company could resell the damaged unit! The company has finally blown me off. I am having to take them to small claims court to resolve this. What a total shame. If I were an elderly person with poor vision, I would have never noticed ... until it broke down, which would most likely be after the labor warranty expired. A few days after the install while we were not at home, they tried to cover up / fix the damage through the openings of the cage, but it didn't help. When we asked how badly the coils were damaged considering how much damage was on the fins, the company stated, well it's under warranty. Sure it is for the first year. After that it's parts only and of course labor is the most expensive thing. I worked for an a/c supplier many years ago and we never would have sold such a damaged unit as new. In 40 years I have never dealt with a company less willing to stand behind it's products and services. All I can say is buyer beware! more
