Fat Elvis has a little bit of everything eclectic. It's your standard vintage clothing-grandma's attic store with two floors full of goodies, but it's in Hampden, which makes it all the better. It's great for browsing on a lazy Saturday afternoon after a trip to Common Ground. One downside is that I've noticed that they are closed on what would seemingly be a busy day. If in doubt, call ahead. more

Vintage Galore 8/16/2005

At Fat Elvis in Hampden, you will find a lot of stuff packed into a very tiny store. Here the emphasis is on offbeat antiques and clothing as well as a good collection of old recordsm collectibles, and just plain junk. This might be a good place to go to fill up a dorm room. Nearly everything in the place is for sale. Most comes from estate and yard sales and the prices are not too bad. There is also a good collection of vintage magazines if that is your thing. more
