Fast Water Heater Company

Don't really know if FWH is "as good as it gets", but of the plumbing companies I've dealt with, this experience was as good or better than any. I do think the total cost of replacing a water heater is ridiculously outrageous unless you do it yourself, but the Fast Water Heater folks were * knowledgeable * polite * professional * accommodating * true to their word ...which is worth a lot. more

After calling 4 different places & 3 getting quotes (one guy didn’t bother to show up), I decided to go with Fast Water Heaters. Ivan did a great job & a very thorough inspection. He kept my property very clean from start to finish. He swept the debris that had accumulated around my outdoor water heater as well as hauled away the old water heater, valve & pipes that were replaced. He didn't quote me for or charge me for additional items that weren't necessary like the other quotes I received. Also he included other things that the other companies didn’t catch like running the overflow pipe to the ground so if it blew up or whatever, hot water wouldn’t spray in my face, it would go to the ground. That wasn’t in any of the other quotes or mentioned in any of the other inspections. I felt he tried to do the best he could with the pricing while staying within the limits of the companies pricing. I did find them to be a bit costly, although they came under the other quotes I received... Maybe water heater replacement is really that costly across the board. Still I probably could have found it cheaper but then again who knows what kind of work would have been done. & after calling 4 places, I felt my due diligence was done. I was extremely happy with the look & cleanliness of the work completed. Ivan had warned me about the possibility of sediment being trapped in the pipes because of my house having old galvanized piping, which did happen, leading me to call a plumber to get hot water to run into my bath the next day. But at least I was aware of the possible problem. & honestly, there was not that much debris to be cleaned out. I do wish they could have done the plumbing work as well, 1 stop shopping you know & it would have saved me the hassle of finding a plumber the next morning. All in all Ivan was professional, courteous, & got the job done promptly & correctly. I am very happy with the work completed. more

We were very happy with our experience with Fast Water Heater Company. Home Depot referred us to them when we called about replacing our standard water tank with a tankless system. I first spoke with Jake who seemed quite knowledgeable about tankless water heaters and was very patient in describing them and answering all of our questions. I was pleased to find that he was helpful without giving any kind of sales pitch; just solid information so that we could make our own choices. When their representatives arrived to give us an estimate they pointed out that installing a tankless water heating on the side of our house would be in violation of city codes because of the proximity to our neighbors' land; a point one other contractor who had been here did not point out. After checking out all other options we agreed that replacing our current 40 gallon tank, which has not provided enough hot water for us, with a 60 gallon tank rather than going with tankless was the best and most affordable option for us. Again, we appreciated getting straightforward advice without any pressure or sales pitch. They installed our new 60 gallon tank and did the necessary work to bring the job up to code, including connecting us with a city inspector to certify that it was up to code, and we've been very happy with the results. Would use them again and have already recommended them to a friend. more

The two installers arrived on time and were courteous and professional, however right after they were finished and had installed the unit, I noticed a leak in the incoming gas line! I called the main company line and the original installers came back promptly to take care of it. more

I was desperately in need of a new water heater. I went to Home Depot and picked out my water heater. The day of my installation I was a bit uneasy about the installation.
