Farmers Inn

We have been going to Farmer's Inn for over 30 years, and it is the best Mexican we can find anywhere! They have the most flavorful green chili with wonderful strips of green chilies in it. And I believe the flavor comes from the chilis and not a bunch of spices thrown into a pot. Our favorite is a smothered burrito. Wow We used to live in Greeley and went often. Now we live in Estes Park but we travel of La Salle for the green chilli when we can. D & J more

Lunch-time at the Famer's Inn means large protions of good food at very special prices. They have two specials for lunch every weekday at only $4.99 (as of mid June 2007.) That price includes a drink, which can be a soda, beer, iced tea, or even a mini margarita. They serve tortilla chips and two different salsas (one a little hotter than the other) with lunch. The servers, most of whom have been there for several years) are very friendly, and professional.\r The only complaint I have is their unwillingness to split checks. They will give separate subtotals, though. It just makes it a little tough if you're in a group and not everyone pays the same way.\r I have eaten dinner there quite a few times, too. For those of you worried about making the drive to LaSalle... Don't be. It's only 13 minutes from The center of Greeley and well worth the drive. I have chosen to spend several of my birthday dinners here (discounted food for the birthday boy). It's not exactly authentic Mexican food, but is a great example of what real Colorado Mexican can be.\r \r There's a seperate bar area but don't forget your DD, it's on the highway.\r \r Getting there for the first time can be tricky... take the phone number or a map. One of the best Mexican food restaurants in the Greeley area. There food is very inexpensive, you get a lot, and it tastes great. The service is perfect and fast. I have been eating there for at least 10 years and would highly recommend it to anyone. Try the big round burrito, its one of the best items on the menu and have you leaving there stuffed!
