Took my 2 year old Briggs to have them replace a head gasket. Instead, they replaced the carburetor AND replaced the battery which was less than one month old. Of course they did...

I dreaded taking my mower into farmers because I thought the engine and battery needed to be replaced. Im mechanically inclined and thought replacing the battery and solenoid would fix it and save me some money, but the engine was locked up and I killed my new battery after numerous attempts to get it running. Dont try this at home if you dont know what your doing. Turns out it wasnt that bad. Tim and mike in the service department informed me that the carb had leaked gas into the engine and it was flooded. They gave me a few options on what we could do to repair it. I ended up having the carb rebuilt, the oil changed, and the battery replaced. The mower ran great and I havent had a problem since. The service is awesome and the sales staff is great too. Plus they are local and family owned. Thats why ive been doing all my business there since I moved into town and would recommend this place to anyone. Oh yea, dont let your equipment sit around with gas in them or use old gas. It will more

Farmers Feed & Seed is the place to go for all of you lawn and garden needs. As a local landscaper, they are a very important part of my business. Whether im purchasing new equipment, picking up maintenance parts, or depending on the service department to get me up and running they are always there for me. They have really turned the service department around in recent years. I admit a few years ago I would have rather went anywhere else to get my equipment repaired, but they have earned my business back. Tim always takes care of me when im in a jam. I would recommend this place to anyone. more

Lifesaver 1/29/2010

We had a heavy snow storm headed our way and my snow blower hadn't been used in years. I couldn't get it started so brought it to Farmer's Feed and Seed service and Mike dropped what he was doing and rebuild the carberator and had it running great in less than an hour. I've never had a problem with any of my power equipemnt serviced there and would recommend everyone to use them. more

Great place to buy supplies there very good at helping you \r get the best deals and are very knowledgeible,but the staff in repair services is not to good. so good place to buy,but dont have them fix anything. more

Lawn mower Repair 5/16/2008

I have used Farmers Feed and Seed several times in the past few years for riding lawn mower repair and had been pleased with the service department. As of today, they have had my mower for 18 days and the service is still incomplete. The lawn mower was finally repaired today, however, now they are waiting for a shipment of blades and the person who handles this was sent home sick this morning. He said they may can find someone else to work on it. I am completely and utterly disappointed and discouraged with the service department and I feel at this time I could never use them again for service. The service people I have been in contact with have used many excuses and have not been understanding of my concerns. I feel helpless and at their mercy. I have asked for a call from them if it will be later than tomorrow to get the mower back. We'll see. I would encourage anyone who plans to use them, to pin them down to specifics. Nice try. Maybe you should think about your own life decisions and reasons for unemployment before you go passing them off on hard working, innocent people. Its unfair to the business, owners, and employee's. Most of all its unfair for past, present, and future customers to read and/or be influenced by such untrue remarks made from a coward. more

the sales staff was great, but the service/repair shop was lousy. i had to return my mower 2 times and the mechanics acted like they were on drugs. they stood around smoking cigarettes talking about smoking marijuana right in front of me!!! more

Most things in stock 6/22/2006

When something breaks you want to find the part as cheaply as possible and you want to have it in stock and available today, not tomorrow or have to wait for them to order it. Farmers Feed & Seed has been there for us. They have had rototiller,chainsaw, and lawn mower parts, both push and riding for us. My husband likes to fix things himself and he can do most things. The problem is just finding the parts. Farmers Feed and Seed seems to have everything. The guy in the parts department is very knowledgeable and when my husband has been tackling some new he has offered some helpful hints and noted some things to watch out for. They have even let us return a part that was not the right one when we had our receipt. We have bought their garden seed and been pleased with it. I like to take the grandchildren in during the spring time when they have little baby chicks in the back. They will let me take them back to see. Best Service In Town 11/27/2005

Service is priority number one. The staff was extremely knowledgable and helpful in deciding which lawnmower to buy. It is more expensive than Lowes but the service is worth it. more
