Cadbury bounty! 5/16/2006

Farmer's Bounty has your standard convenience store items, along with some (semi-) fresh produce and other staples, but the real find here is the selection of British candies found near the register. Pretty much any Cadbury product you can dream of is here, which makes it worth stopping in here to pick up your sodas and whatnot. Be sure to get one of the fresh vegetable samosas available at the register too! more

European Food Outpost 5/14/2006

Farmer's Bounty is where you stop on the way home when you just need a bunch of lettuce or a few potatoes. However, it is also a not-so-secret outpost of European foods, perfect for the exchange student, expat or Anglophile. You can get Cadbury biscuits and malt beverages and all sorts of Indian food. Samosas at the register. Just a nice little place. more

Somerville Thatre 4/24/2006

Somerville Theater has that nest to last picture show atmosphere yet is a full fledged active art house. Withe numerous screens the theater offers a nice mix of first run films, revivals and art films. They occasionally run folk revivals and large-scale readings of poetry, fiction, and non-fictional. The theater is a cultural focus of Davis Square and is well worth checking frequently for unique film showings and art happenings. more
