Unprofessional! The high-school drop out nurse nearly punctured my ear drum, and didn't even apologize. My room was right outside the nurses station, and I could hear them talking badly about their patients, and having other conversations that should be saved for out of the office. I spent 1 hr in there for them to tell me I had the flu. I didn't even see a Dr there! AWFUL more

My son was seeing Dr Ratts for back pain He prescribed pain killers for him then he wrote a script for depression meds then he wrote him a script for diet pills my son weighs 170 lbs and is 6 ft far from overweight.My son now is hooked on this crap and cant get the pills Dr ratts knew what he was doing His greed has caused so much pain in so many peoples lives Some of you call the people like my son drugies but my son wasnt one until he went to a dr who allowed him to become one I am so worried for my son more

I have attended Dr. Ratts' Office since I was a child. When I go, I usually don't see Dr. Ratts. I see Dr. Winders and I love her. She has been very patient with me when I have questions and makes me feel very comfortable when in her care. I can't speak for Dr. Ratts or anyone else, but Dr. Winders in fabulous. more

Please refrain from even considering this doctor's office. This is the worst doctor's office I have ever been to, and frankly don't know how this place keeps patients. My first discussion with staff when making an appt was awful. Staff was extremely rude and treated my questions as if I should already know the answer. Just plain rude, no customer service or care. And when you're not feeling well, these things don't mix. I waited for more than two hours to see the doctor and had an appt for two hours earlier. Completely inexcusable. By the time the doctor came in to see me I was in tears. In tears from being locked in a room for more than and hour while I wait, and wait, and wait to be seen for five minutes. Diagnosis was amiss because I had been waiting and ignored for so long. Antidepressants? No. BAD SERVICE! I was so sick and so mad at being treated so poorly that all I could do was cry! That's not depressed. I will take my insurance somewhere else, never return to that doctor, never see/talk to that staff again, and NOT fill that bogus prescription for antidepressants with many dangerous side effects. There were even people in the office complaining that they've also been there waiting and had an appt. Just all around bad service for Dr. Ratts Family Practice. more

I agree with Theresa D's review. If this is the best family practice Bloomington has to offer, then we are in plenty of trouble. I went there for three years to get 'treated' for bronchitis. Nearly every two months I would show up with the same symptoms. Did anyone there ever think to refer me to a respiratory specialist, to make sure I didn't have something more serious? Of course not. Oh, and the nurses are JUST wonderful; I always look forward to being treated like garbage. No thanks, I'll take my insurance elsewhere. more

I have been going to Dr Ratts office for my health care. I have never had to wait for a long period of time. I sign in and am taken back to see the doctor within 5-10 minutes. There are a few ladies in the front who arent all that nice, they have never been hateful but they just dont offer a smile or friendlyness when you are signing in. That wouldnt make me not want to go there, a few people arent going to make me change my mind. He is a great doctor who has helped me big time. I would tell everyone i know to go to him for medical care!!!!! more

My family has received medical care for over 25 years from Dr Ratts and his wonderful staff. We have never received anything less than excellent care. I would never consider changing doctors because no one could better serve my family and I than Dr Ratts and his staff. more

This is the worst family practice I have ever seen or heard of. The wait is inexcusable-usually at least 45 minutes to an hour BEFORE you are ushered into a small room to wait even longer. The staff are rude and incompetent-I have seen them lose and misplace charts several times. I have waited for a visit before only to find the staff never pulled my chart and put it in the queue. Once their mistake was made, there were no apologies whatsoever. I would rather cut my own foot off with a rusty knife than EVER step foot in this place again. more
