Fan Man

I have been using Kevin, the Fan Man for years and love the professional work that he and his crew always do. He has installed ceiling fans, lights, and has done some light remodel projects for me. Yes, he is busy, but I usually try and schedule ahead by a week or two and there have been no problems with him showing up on time and doing a great job. I live in austin and highly recommend the Fan Man to anyone in the greater Austin area. more

The fan man was recommended to me by Lights Fantastic. He showed up on time and also brought someone to retexture my wall after the lights/fans were installed. He did great work and I would highly recommend him. Pros: on time, flexible, and quality work more

I was given this man's name by Lights Fantastic on Burnet and it's now about 5 mths that I have been trying to schedule him. I have had no shows, no return calls, last minute-like 30 min late due--cancellations, and I kept trying because he sounded genuinely nice and overly apologetic (I also didn't have other names to call). He said I'm just sooo busy--to take on a new customer? How about don't commit to what you can't do?! I have taken off work, had my husband not go to work to wait for him, etc. Latest fiasco was ""first thing in the morning I promise I'll be there"" --had my husband wait until 945am and ""first thing in the morning"" was pretty much over by 1000 am. Husband left for work & Fan Man calls at 1000...we're here. No phone call, no appt range given, just ""first thing in the morning"". My last try--total example of another incompetent contracter --bottom line unless you have time to throw away, w/this contracter, ""don't go there"" !
