I used to love this place, but I have found a carpenter roach in their special sauce and always see them crawling around the floor and boxes in the store. I will never eat there again! more

Sadly Missed 9/13/2008

I use to live right up to he street from this place, since moving to Chicago I haven't been able to find a place that can compare to Famous Phil's a.k.a Fat Freddie's. Everytime I'm in South Florida I have to make a stop at this place. Don't be alarmed by Phil he maybe loud but he makes an awesome steak and onion cheesesteak. Pros: good food, good people Cons: small shop more

They have the BEST steak and onion sub in the whole wide world!!! They STUFF the soft fresh roll full. There is always a line but they serve you pretty fast. They use to be ""Fat Freddies"" and they are just as good as they ever were. Be sure to ask for a card to punch so you can get a free sub after buying so many. Pros: Best Steak Subs, They Fill The Roll, Get what you pay for Cons: small take out shop more
