I'm not usually one to write a review, but I believe I have to offer counterpoint to the other reviews. On my wife's suggestion and upon reading reviews we decided to go to Famous Dave's. I was skeptical due to the fact that it's a chain (which doesn't generally scream 'barbecue' in my book) and my sentiments were furthered when we arrived at 8 on a saturday night and the lot was empty. The food - I ordered the Texas Manhandler sandwich with beef brisket, smoked sausage, and ""hellfire"" pickles. With a name like 'hellfire' you would expect some good hot pickles but instead I got bread and butter which I despise. The sausage was not smoked but charred and the brisket, well they shoud call it roast beef because that's exactly what it is. I consider myself to be a Q connoisseur and Famous Dave's is not barbecue at all in fact, it was the second worst bbq I've had besides Barbecue Street in Kennesaw. If you're in the area drive a little further to Windy Hill and go to Old South. For really great cue, go to either Swallow at the Hollow (Roswell), Harold's (S. Atlanta), or Sam and Dave's (Marietta) and if you have to go to a chain go to Jim and Nick's which is a pleasant suprise.
Pros: Location, parking, choices of sauce
Cons: Food
