I visited this restaurant because they have had billboards around town displaying that they have the ""BEST RIBS."" I am a rib fanatic. I compete at ""Memphis In May"" every year. I have been smoking ribs and bbq for over a decade. Naturally I felt compelled to check this place out. They have the BEST RIBS in Nashville. No question. The ribs were outstanding and the waitress provided our group with the friendliest service I have ever had too! Pros: BEST RIBS, FRIENDLY STAFF Cons: ONLY ONE IN TOWN more

A must do 1/17/2003

Every once in a while you find a place that you know your going to crave!! I tried famous Dave's a few weeks while visiting family in Florence,AL. I didn't know BBQ could be this good. Everthing from the catfish fingers as an appetizer to the ""out of this world"" bread pudding for dessert was over the top. The service was some of the best I've had in a casual dinind restaurant. Yoy can't imagine my excitement to learn there is a Famous Dave's in Nashville as well. I've been twice since New Years'. As I expected it to was ""Famous"". Thes guys really know how to do BBQ. Famous Experience 1/17/2003

WOW! the place is unbelieveable! Everything! The place is a lot of fun. The music, antique decor which is everywhere brings back a lot of memories. Tracy our server was great. The food is excellent, the service is quick and very folks are very friendly. The manager even stopped to ask how things were. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Awesome BBQ 1/17/2003

From the time we entered the building, the Hostess and entire staff were the best I've experienced in the Nashville area. The food was outstanding! The restaurant came highly recommneded from several of my friends, they were right. The portions were huge, I recommend going there with a hearty appetite. Whatever you do, save room for the bread pudding...the best ever. Since my initial visit, I have been several more times. Each time it's been a great experience. Hat's off to them! Gotta Go Famous 1/16/2003

Our family loves this place!! Every time someone visits from out of the area, we have to take them to Famous Dave's. It's nice to have a place the whole family can agree on. Friendly service, fun atmosphere, and ribs to die for! Be sure to try the pulled pork and corn muffins too. It melts in your mouth. The Feast for Four fed seven at our table. I stumbled into Famous Dave's after noticing the new place and deciding to try it out. I was so pleasantly surprised. The food is excellent, the service is good and it has a pleasing atmosphere. The BBQ there is so tender (all of it) that it practically melts in your mouth. Pros: Great Food, Good Service, Nice Atmosphere Cons: Parking limited, Location in Hermitage, Occas. long wait. more

Famous Dave's serves wonderful BBQ in a Minnesota cabin-style atmosphere. Five different kinds of tomato-based and mustard-based sauces are on every table. If you like the watery, vinegar based sauces others use, you are just plain ignorant! For lunch, the Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich with Shack Fries is unbeatable at $4.99. It is lean and moist and plentiful. The sauces make great dipping for the Shack Fries too. Pros: wonderful food, fast service Cons: no soup and sandwich more
