Being a Memphis native I was somewhat sceptical about my first visit to Famous Dave's. But from the great atmosphere to the hospitable service and not to mention the the out of this world BBQ. I was hooked and have go back weekly to get my fix. more

I MOVED HERE TWO YEARS AGO, BEING BBQ LOVERS, THE FIRST THING THAT WE HAD TO DO WAS FIND THE BEST BBQ IN TOWN. WE'VE STILL BEEN LOOKING FOR TWO YEARS BUT AS OF THIS PAST MONDAY, MEMORIAL DAY WE FOUND IT! WE TRIED FAMOUS DAVE'S FOR THE FIRST TIME AND EVERYTHING WAS OUTSTANDING! GREAT RIBS 4/23/2003

This restaurant has the best ribs I have ever tried. I am a big rib fan, some of my buddies and I have a BBQ team and we compete at Memphis in May every year. (We always enter our smoked pork shoulder) Lord knows I have tried my share of ribs from all over the country at this BBQ contest. I remember when Famous Dave's competed at Memphis a few years ago, I can't remember how they did but as far as I'm concerned they should have won if the ribs they are serving today are what they had back then. Great Restaurant ! 4/4/2003

I had been told that this place was BBQ from the North so it's been there for about a year and I haven't bothered to try it. I ate there this Monday and it was so good I went back today too. This place is the ""Real Deal!"" The ribs are the best I have had around here. The wings are the best I have ever had anywhere. The employees are on laughing gas or something. The Absolute Best 3/30/2003

Having tried Bar-B-Que all over America, Dave's is the absolute best. The dining experience combined well cooked food, excellent sauces, and hearty portions with a rustic ambience and one of the most attentive staffs that I have ever met. The first thing I noticed was that the staff was truely happy working there. I will return to Dave's any time I am in the area! I look forward to a Dave's in South Georgia/North Florida! My New Favorite 3/21/2003

My new favorite restaurant in Nashville is Famous Dave's BBQ. The food is incredible, not just for BBQ but the food in general. We've been there four times in the last three weeks. The people who work there are the friendliest I have ever encountered at any restaurant and I love the way the place is decorated. It feels like a hunting lodge deep in the woods somewhere. Damn Good ToGo Service 3/17/2003

Me and my wife Erica came into Famous Daves last Saturday and when we got to the host stand we found out that the wait was 45 minutes. We decided that we couldn't wait that long and were on our way out when Famous Tony talked us into getting some BBQ ToGo. This Famous Tony knew his stuff. He was on top of every question with no delay. He seemed to be working 5 customers at once. It was the best service I had received in any restuarant around Nashville. We were so excited with our dinner ToGo that we called Famous Daves back to thank them for our famous meal. We are very anxious to go back and eat at Famous Daves. I HAD NEVER BEEN A BBQ FAN, BUT WHEN MY FRIENDS RAVED TO ME ABOUT FAMOUS DAVES, I HAD TO TRY IT. THE SMELL OF HICKORY SMOKED FOOD BLOWS YOU OVER WHEN YOU ENTER THE RESTURANT ALONG WITH THE DECOR. THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING! WE HAD 10 PEOPLE WITH US AND EVERYONES FOOD, WETHER IT WAS THE BBQ,HAMBURGER,CATFISH OR THE CHICKEN SANDWITCH, WAS THE BEST WE HAD EVER HAD. THIS IS A PLACE FOR EVERYONES CRAVINGS. BETWEEN THE COZY ATMOSPHERE, THE GREAT SERVICE AND THE FANTASTIC FOOD YOU MAY NEVER WANT TO LEAVE. PLEASE, BRING MORE TO ALABAMA. Wonderful Birthday! 3/16/2003

My family took me to Famous Dave's for my birthday this week. First of all there were 20 of us and they were able to accomodate us all at one table. The two servers that took care of us were so friendly and really attentive. The BBQ was out of this world, but my favorite was the bread pudding dessert that they brought out to me for my birthday. GREAT BRISKET 3/13/2003

I am hooked on the beef brisket. I'm from Houston, Texas and we know brisket in Texas. We moved to Nashville five years ago and have not been able to find beef brisket anywhere that is as good as what we are used to back home in Texas. Until now. Famous Dave's is our new favorite restaurant. Maybe I haven't been home in awhile but I think the brisket is better at Dave's than at some of my favorite BBQ restaurants in Texas. Famous For Sure! 3/10/2003

I could smell hickory smoke from Lebanon Road as I approached Famous Dave's for the first time. As brisket melted in my mouth and rib meat dangled from the bone as I lifted it from my plate, two words seemed to echo throughout the restaraunt: Bread Pudding. Reflecting back on the following moments is a blur, perhaps because I could not tell whether I was trying a new dessert or getting my first glimpse of heaven. Three words describe my experience: I am hooked. Besides the great food, another thing that separated Famous Dave's was the first class service that I received there. Famous jamey was the best server we've had in a long time and the other ""Famous"" team members did a great job assisting him. To all who haven't tried Famous Dave's: Wait no longer!
