Best Thrift Store in Town 10/3/2011

I've been going to this store for over 15 years. Even though there isn't much parking, the store is a little dirty, they removed the dressing rooms and went to "Cash Only", I STILL give it a 5 Star rating. I love this store because they have an enormous volume of product that comes through the store every single day. It is well organized so you can find what you are looking for quickly. It is so much easier to find shoes here than at Goodwill. Also, the prices get slashed every week until the product is gone. I consistently find items between .19 and .99 cents just because they have so much stuff to move. I believe this is why people continue to come to Family Thrift Center in droves. more

No more dressing rooms 10/27/2006

I've been shopping at this thrift store for 20+ yrs. It can be higher priced than Goodwills, but has quality stuff and name brands. Lots comes through this place, so you have to look often. Fairly organized, but lots of shoppers. I've had the most consistent luck with this store. Not much furniture, but lots of other goods. Always good selection of linens. The worst thing to happen here lately is they removed the dressing rooms - so I no longer buy pants here. more

A thrift store that's average 3/27/2006

Family Thrift Center is your typical thrift store. It is not the cleanest place in the world, though it is cleaner than the Goodwill on 27th, and the merchandise is comparable to the other thrift stores around Lincoln. They do typically have a good buy on magazines that they bundle together. It's much cheaper than a subscription, and for donaters - they take your name and address off the magazine. more
