Family RV is definitely the best choice to buy or rent an RV. I have done both there always receiving extremely good service at excellent prices. After buying my 21' Winnebago class C there in 2007 I now keep it there free where they keep it in superb condition and rent it on consignment for me splitting the income with me. \r \r The consignment arrangement has been perfect for me since I can use it any time I want, free, of course, and it gives me not only a free place to store it but its rental income pays for its maintenance costs and they do the work for me to keep it in perfect condition. Win-win! They are very careful to check the rv's out to renters and back in upon return to ensure it stays in top condition, so my unit is always clean and in great working order without me doing any of the work. \r \r Any time I want to use it for an outing I just drop an email to Subrina in rentals with the dates I want it and she schedules it like any other rental. She lets Service know and they have the unit cleaned and ready for me to pick it up when I want it.\r \r Matt runs the service shop where they inspect each unit regularly and let me know when something needs repair; I can take care of it myself or let them do it. Recently when I needed a full set of tires Matt found me an excellent discount on new Michelins and included the installation. Sweet! \r \r When the time comes that I no longer use my RV enough to warrant keeping it, I'll definitely ask Family RV to sell it for me. Couldn't be easier. And all of the people at Family RV are delightful to work with. They've become like family to me. \r more

We came down from Montreal, Canada to San Jose twice, and rented an RV from Alan Cezar. Each time we had an amazing time. The RV was given to us very clean and every thing was functioning properly. They gave us ideas for our trip and help with us directions. We never had a problem. This made traveling to Yosemite so easy and enjoyable. We were able to cover a lot of ground without packing and unpacking from hotel to hotel. Truly the only way to travel with kids or even as couples who just want to relax. Upon our return, they greeted us warmly and really wanted to know about our trip. They really care! I was so impressed by the nice and friendly staff. I noticed while I was standing there that everyone is important to them. Now, that the way you want to be treated. Will do this again cause twice was not enough! more

Five Stars is not for perfection 100% of the time, but for always finding a resolution that is in our mutual best interest. Just a few miles out of San Jose we were experiencing some trouble with our moter home. With the help of 411 we contacted Family RV and they provided us with detailed directions and were waiting for us as we arrived. Being new to the area and close to lunch time the staff was kind enough to take us to a restaurant while our coach was being repaired. We were pleasantly surprized when we returned to pick up our motor home to learn that the problem was repaired and covered under the manufactures warranty. I visited many RV rental places before coming to Family RV and was so glad that I did. Family RV had much better looking equipped units that I had a hard time choosing what I wanted, I liked them all!!! We rented a 26ft RV that had a flat screen TV and a back up camera. Our family and friends were jealous of our RV as some of them rented their RV's elsewhere and ours was the nicest and most equipped. I would like to offer the highest recommendation for Family RV. The Community Health Awareness Council is an organization which does counseling for children. In order to better meet the needs of our clients, we began looking for a used motorhome which we could convert to a mobile counseling office. Rick at Family RV spent many hours with our staff explaining the different options available to us. With Rick?s help, we settled on a motorhome that was ideal for a conversion that would provide two counseling offices, one for groups and one for individual counseling. Then Alan stepped in and used his creative talents to come up with a very solid design for the vehicle which was top quality at a very reasonable cost. Next, Bud and Matt went to work and they were true craftsmen, building everything to the highest standards. The end result was simply outstanding! The ?CHAC Mobile? is now in service in our community and has received very positive reviews by the counselors and clients. more

I'll try to be brief, although there is a lot to say. Being from Europe we were quite cautious about getting an RV for our trip to the US. I did a lot of research on the net and contacted lots of rental companies as well as some private people. I think we left things quite late in the day as there wasn't actually that much available, but one of the companies that we did get an offer from was Family RV. Our trip was planned so that we spent 5 days in San Francisco before catching the Cal Train down to San Jose, where we then got a taxi to the Family RV site. We were greeted with smiles and handshakes and made to feel very welcome. Due to my worries before hand I had been talking to some of the people at Family RV via Skype and email before the trip, with most of my correspondence with Alan, who I discovered was actually the owner. As far as the rental is concerned, we hired a 31 foot RV for 6 adults, and although this was an 8 berth model two of the beds were a bit cramped to sleep 2 side by side, but more than ample for 1 person if you slept at a bit of an angle. For 2 families of 2 adults and 2 children this model would be perfect though. The RV itself was perfect. We had no issues at all the whole time we were on the road, which was 8 days in total. We visited the beautiful West Coast, stayed at some amazing beach campsites for 4 days before moving inland to visit both Sequoia and Yosemite national parks. WE HAD THE MOST AMAZING TIME!!!!! It was an experience that all 6 of us will speak about for many years to come. With over 2500 photos and 11 hours of film on the video camera we are in the process of selecting the best photos and editing the video to show all of our friends who are very eager to see what we got up to. When we got back to San Jose we cleaned the RV unit ourselves on site at Family RV. They were kind enough to lend us a water hose, buckets, mops, rags, shampoo, a vacuum cleaner and so on, so all 6 of us spent an hour cleaning the unit before we handed it back to them. I mention that we cleaned it ourselves as I was worried that this was an area where they would be able to deduct money from the deposit that was taken from my card. I had read many horror stories of people losing some of their deposit due to them returning the unit in worse condition than they had received it. With 3 girls doing the inside and 3 lads doing the outside we did a thorough job and after inspection they gladly announced that they were not taking anything extra from our deposit (except for some extra mileage that we had, but we were aware of that from the start). They were even kind enough to purchase 4 chairs and a grill that we had bought ourselves, so at the end of the day we were more than happy. Overall my comments are based on one experience, but all in all it was better than I ever expected. I cannot fault Family RV in any way, they were very professional in their approach towards us and everything that they promised turned out just as expected. My deposit was credited back to my credit card within 5 days, so I have absolutely no complaints. I will be making a blog of our trip (there are already loads of photos on Facebook). If any of you are interested then give me a shout. Would be glad to tell you more. Once again I just want to thank Family RV for making our holiday so special. We will certainly be using them again if we ever wanted to tour California more

I have rented Motor homes and trailers from Family RV for many years. My most recent rental was in September. I have rented from private parties and other dealers. I always go back to Family RV. They have prepare the RV wonderfully for me. The staff that does the checkout and check in are efficient. Many times there are groups going out as we Check out. We have been always treated professionally. I always get an email from the owner a few days after asking how the service was. That is great.
