took my cat there. she had a bowel obstruction. she stayed at the facility for 5 days with NO improvement, no bowel movement, decreased eating and drinking. I called and visited me pet everyday and everyday it was another excuse. She wanted to do a 3rd Barium enema! Dr. Dunahoo didn't think she could do anything for her. I requested that she try and enema since she did not think my pet would survive this obstruction anyway. I took my cat home and gave her an enema. she had a huge bowels movements over the next several days. My bill was $3000 whicj has she done something to help my animal I would have accepted much easier! I will never trust her with any of my animals! more

Was ok with taking my dogs here for the vaccines but thats about it dr.dunahoo honestly sounds like she doesnt know what shes talking about she did xrays on my dog and tested him for things I didnt even ask for and charged me for them and gave him medication that wernt necessary and said he would be fine 6 days later hes worse I take him back big mistake! She wanted to charge me for another office after telling me she wouldn't if I needed to bring him back when I brought it up she was like well you misunderstood. No u need to be more clear. She wanted to do all these other things again! And im like if u dont know then you dont know she just starred at him like idk whats wrong with u but im going to just guess its this. Nahhh wont be goin back there I rather pay full price for vaccines then have to deal with them and there rude receptionist! more

Best Pet Clinic Around! 10/16/2012

This is by far the best vet clinic I have ever used! Dr. Dunahoo and staff (especially Freda) are wonderful. They are so knowledgeable and caring and Dr. Dunahoo always takes the time to answer any questions you might have in great detail so you feel comfortable that you are giving your pet(s) the best care possible. Our daughter s cat recently became critically ill and they stayed after hours to give him the best chance for survival. He was unable to make it but they were so kind and compassionate regarding his passing. They truly did everything they could to get him well. We take our dog there too and they not only give him super veterinary care making sure his shots are up-to-date and he is on appropriate heartworm/flea/tick meds but they are helpful with any kind of tips you need for training your dog as well. I feel completely confident that my pets are getting the best treatment possible!! If you have never been there, I highly recommend Family Pet Clinic and they do take appoint more

Great Care for our Pts 11/16/2011

While looking up FPC, I noticed these posts and wanted to add my experience which has been very positive. We have a 14 yr old Pom that was near death and had multiple issues and we were sure we would be told to put her down. We were referred to FPC and this clinic saved her life and managed her every issue and she is as healthy and as bossy as ever again. \r \r I have no idea abt the incident mentioned but can not imagine that behavior from this clinic or vet. This is the most thorough clinic and vet within a huge radius around here and we actually travel abt an hour to utilize this specific staff, clinic and vet! I hope that anyone who reads the negative post takes the opportunity to check for themself and see its simply not the case. (the aggressive nature of the 'poster' shows me theres more to it)\r \r One visit and you'll be hook! \r (Very professional, knowledgable and manages animals of many breeds.) more

Don't Waste Your Money Here 11/9/2011

This is a very unprofessional clinic. VERY under staffed. I had to wait in line for a very long time for everything... getting checked in, getting someone to come up and take my pet, getting checked out, someone to come and bring my pets back. Staff seemed more interested in sitting around talking and finishing their conversations rather than helping customers. more

A great place 1/15/2011

Shortly after I got my Danny I found out he had heart worms I took him to see Dr. Dunahoo for treatment, well if any one has ever had to deal with heart worms then you know its not a cheap deal. Dr. Dunahoo has the most resonable price for this matter and how she and her staff have treated my Danny you would think he was one of there own. I would tell every one I know who owns a pet to take them to see her and her staff, you can be sure they will be treated like one of the family and be taken care of. more

So glad we called! 8/2/2010

My husband took our new addition Luxi to this wonderful place! When we got her from a very neglectful previous owner, she was infested with fleas ( inside her ears, and all over her little body), had not visited a vet, needed an exam, updated on her shots, she even had an ear infection. Everyone was very helpful, the prices were outstanding, and I could have not asked for anything better! My baby is enjoying her new home with us, and it has been so much easier getting things that she needs with the Family Pet Clinic helping us with precious Luxi! Thank you! more

Family Pet Clinic is a great PLACE 11/18/2009

I should Know I work there, Just to set the record straight to Sharon M, I Know for a fact that the Medication was NOT 55 dollars it was 26 dollars and she was not going to charge you for any thing else. The groomer found a sore upon drop off and there was matted hair, Matted with old dried blood. and it was a week old. NEGLECTFUL HUH !!!!! She even had the doctor look at it before she started the groom. I will just ask one thing, If this event happened in Feb 2009 why did u just list it in OCT 2009, where you just bored one night? I guess we know now the price of your LOVE for YOUR PERSIAN , under 26 dollars ! more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Dunahoo. She has been my vet for close to 9 years now and has helped my dog through several illnessess. She is very thorough and gets the job done right! I tell all my friends who want the best vet care to go to Family Pet Clinic! more

CS down there below thinks that putting animals to sleep should be free. What do you think your $45 was for putz? The $45 is for the stuff to kill the cat. I bet you voted for Obama too. This place is great, far cheaper that money hungry gosney, you even get a free leash : ) more

Funny that he was such a great vet but you can't even spell his name right. Kyzar is spelled with an a not an e. Way to do your homework after the fact by the way. Way to go! more

Great vet hospital, boarding, and grooming 7/27/2009

I come to this clinic for boarding, grooming, and all of my pets' veterinary care. They have spayed and neutered several of my pets. I have never had a problem. They have always done a geat job and have been really nice and friendly. Pros: They really do care for your pet! Cons: Never had any problems. more

RIPOFF VET CLINIC 7/18/2009

This used to be a great vet when Dr. Kyzer was there, but after he retired Dr. Dunahoo took over and it has become a horrible place. We just took my 86 year old mothers cat in to purposly have her put down since Dr. Dunahoo had just seen her a week before and verbally confirmed that the cats kidneys were failing. We waited 45 minutes for Dr. Dunahoo to come in a give the cat a shot, that was it. We asked that the cat be cremated and they charged us $210.00 - unbelievable. When I picked up the cats remains, I questioned the charge because I checked with other very reputable vets in this area and they were $50-70 cheaper. She said she charged an office visit (FOR WHAT????) ($45.00). I personally had already changed vets for my animals, after they ""botched"" one of my cats hysterectomy. Family Pet Clinic & Grooming 7/19/2005

This is a small but cozy pet clinic and grooming facility. I took my dog here when he was a puppy to have his shots done. The were very good for the services, they were cheaper than most places around. The people that work in the clinic are all very friendly and worked well with my dog and they were excellent with all the other pets that I saw come in. They had many regulars come in that they treated just like family so I knew that it was a good place to have your pet seen. The vet was good with my puppy and kept me informed of what he was doing at all times or what needed to be done. After 1 checkup I had my dog groomed since they offer the grooming there and they did such an amazing job! I couldn't believe the difference when they were finished. My dog looked wonderful so I would definately recommend the grooming! more
