Worst

Prices are higher than most. I my situation, I was told that I needed struts and it would $950.00 and a tuneup for $400.00. I brought the car to the dealer and was charged $480.00...

Hands down the best auto service in Long Island 4/12/2013

I was skeptical about the reviews I read about this shop, but believe me, once you come here they will treat you with respect and will always be honest about the work that really needs to be done to your car. I have a 2006 bmw 325i with no warranty. when a small leak showed up from the transmission their first advice was to take it to the dealer because the part that needed fixing was under manufacturer warranty. I had taken the cars preciously to another shop and was told that the repair would cost me around $900!!! Long story short BMW covered the cost of the repair, thanks to the advice of FamilyAutoService. more

Fine 1/30/2013

Service was fine. I had to wait quite a while for my oil change, which was an inconvenience, but I understand, and the price was great. Steve was very informative and helpful, and I would recommend Family Auto to anyone. more

Went Out of Their Way to Make me Happy 12/20/2012

I brought my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder in for some suspension work. They replaced my rear shocks. After driving it for some time, I found the ride to be too stiff on the bumpy local roads. I contacted Steve at FAS and he replaced my shocks with a different model quickly and free of charge. My vehicle now runs smooth on the road. I would definitely recommend Family Auto Service. more

Extended Themselves 11/14/2012

I needed an oil change and an emissions inspection on my mom's car and I had only a two hour window to get it done before having to drive 15 miles to mom's house. Steve & Company managed to fit me in and, as with our regular vehicles, the service was excellent. more

fULLY SATISFIED 10/13/2012

After blowing two tires AAA towed my car to Family Auto Service. Since it was at night, the car key was placed in an envelope into their night slot. My car was taken first think in the morning and I received a call when it was ready. I was picked up at my home and driven to the shop to pick up my car. The courtesy was terrific. more

Excellent Absolutely Excellent 9/27/2012

This was my first visit and will not be my last all the folks at Family Auto service could not have been more friendly or nicer and that is hard to come by these day. I delt with Chuck and he could not have been more helpful and kinder best service I have had in a long time , they have the right concept and that is to take good care of the customer and do the work right and they did. Excellent job keep up the good work. more

Great professional and on time car repair service 9/4/2012

Steve and the whole crew at FAS were very helpful and very safety conscious about my cars operation. After a detail inspection they were able to fix unnoticeable problems from above the car. Once my car was on the hoist they were able to point out a couple of car safety issues that needed attention. I appreciate their help and the team approach to total customer car satisfaction. Excellent and Honest 6/11/2012

I brought my car in for the Pre-Summer Special including an oil change and tire rotation. I dropped my car off at 6:30am and heard from them 2-3 hours later. They recommended front brakes and an air filter but did not push it on my as many dealers usually do. They were very prompt and quickly fixed my bill when I mentioned that it was the $22 Pre-Summer Special. more

They told me what was wrong with my car and asked me what I was willing to do, instead of completing the job and forcing me to pay. The prices were reasonable and the waiting room had EVERYTHING, except internet....but maybe that would be too much!
