For the past four years, Fairview has been taking care of my boat. Their value, communication, workmanship, and knowledge have been exceptional. They're always looking after my boat as if it is their own. more

I have had my boat here for five years. Mark is fair and reasonable. He will not mince words and speaks his mind. Mark has made repairs to my boat, did a great job, and was fair in the pricing of his work. I have peace of mind when I leave my boat as Mark and his family live on premises and he misses nothing. This is a quiet marina, good for family, and in a scenic location. He could have longer hours for the pool though... more

I have had my boat here for two months and have enjoyed having a secure area kept in first class condition. The owners have been extremely friendly and accomodating. The common areas including bathrooms and showers are spotless. The grounds are very well maintained and offer many amenities. The slip fees are reasonable, and the fact that there are many long term customers speaks for itself. more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! 5/26/2011

In March of this year I contacted the owners of Fairview Marina to inquire about a boat that was on their property. I told them that I was interested in purchasing the boat and that the owner had received a quote to repair the boat from the marina owner. The owner of Fairview Marina confirmed that he quoted the repair was about $3000 and that he could make the boat as good or stronger than it was before the damage. At that time he did not mention that the marina would plan to charge me for storage that had already been paid by the owner of the boat. I have a copy of the contract between Fairview Marina and the previous owner of the boat stating that storage had been paid through the winter and to have the boat put back in the water. I then signed a Bill of Sale with the boat owner to purchase the boat and left him a $100 non refundable deposit. A few days later the owner of Fairview Marina called me to tell me that they were not going to honor the previous contract to store the boat for the rest of the winter and instead wanted to charge me again at a higher rate. I told them that I would not sign a contract and let them charge me for something that had already been paid for. The boat was on land at this time and could not be moved due to other boats being in the way. The owner then contacted me again threatening to charge me more money for storage than he originally said. He said that he would not do the repairs for the original quote of $3000 and said that he would charge $6000 for the repairs. The owner contacted me another time and said that they were now going to charge me $200 per month plus $30 per day for storage, this is roughly 10-12 times the normal rate for storage in this area. Again, storage had already been paid for this boat and I had no way to move the boat since it was blocked in by other boats. They are trying to double charge me for storage and at a rate that is roughly 10-12 times higher than a normal rate. If they would have told me about this before I had purchased the boat, which they had an opportunity to do, then I could have worked something out with the previous owner. Instead they are trying to do as much harm to me as possible with no provocation. more

Talked to Marc the owner today 3/19/2011 3/19/2011

Marc told me he was painting bottom of 30 ft boat and charging $17,000. and $4000. to fix hatch (to impress me).-- I asked Marc about damage to a boat I want to buy in his marina and he went nuts on me. ** Seller has PAID for storage and launch, but Marc wants me to PAY AGAIN for launch. *Seller has PAID for Storage and Marc wants EXTRA $36/day for 2 weeks because Marc cannot get to boat because it is behind other boats. ...First Marc said I could work on the boat, then started YELLING that I would make a mess and Marc said a WOMAN WITH WHITE PANTIES could sit on the ground and not get PANTIES DIRTY. ****THEN MARC SAID HE WAS GOING TO -BUY- THE SAILBOAT I AM BUYING !!! ! more

I write this review manily to complment Mark Kahn and his fine marina. Family owned and operated, Kim and Mark live on-site. Kim does a wonderful job with the gardening, office duites and probably a million other things. Mark can be seen doing anything that needs to be done from fiberglass repair to backhoe work. I will attest to his craftsmanship and attention to detail. i have rented a land berth for my trailer boat, a 2252 Bayliner Cierra for three years which we use 8 months of the year. Pros: No gas dock, great location, quiet, friendly Cons: No gas dock, no lift slips, larger boats make me jealous more
