I called ahead to check and see if Factory Card outlet accepted competitor's coupons and was told yes.
I picked out a large assortment of party products and some balloons and brought them to the cashier, Rebecca, and told her I had a coupon and put it on the counter. She proceeded to ring up the merchandise but when it was time to take the coupon she told me they didn't accept them bc it was a competitors. I told her they did accept them. She confirmed that with her manager. She then got nasty bc she didn't know how to ring up the coupon and her manager told her to redo the order whereupon she got very huffy and loudly proclaimed that would take 10 min. I told her I was sorry about that but I was sure it wouldn't take that long. (after all it wasn't my fault she hadn't known how to ring up the coupon). After she was done redoing the order (it took approx. 3 min.), slamming things and sighing the whole time, I told her I had some balloons ordered. She told me to step to the side and wait so I assumed someone was ahead of me. Instead she took the next person in line, who also wanted balloons and started to blow up his balloon order. Her co worker asked her why she took him first and she said "Let her wait like everyone else had to wait for her". I told her I was reporting her to her manage to which she replied, "fine, I don't care". Over the next week, I called 2x and left a message with an employee who assured me they would pass the message along to the manager who never got back to me. I actually went in there with my daughter a week or so later and asked for the manager, told her my unacceptable experience and she acted as if she couldn't have cared less. A half hearted apology and she then asked me "what do you want me to do?" I'll never go back, even if it's convenient and I told my whole family about it and they'll never shop there again either.
