Rude Receptionists 11/20/2009

I just called to inquire about the price for a standard eye exam, and the woman answering the phone practically snapped at me. Her response to my question about insurance was delivered in an insulting and patronizing tone. If this is how I'm greeted by the receptionist, I'll pass on experiencing in-person service.\r \r Based on the positive reviews below, I was looking forward to giving this place a shot, but forget it now. The ONLY place to go for frames 6/29/2009

Every pair of frames in the past three years have come from this store, including all my specialty sunglasses. I have a difficult prescription, and the safety of myself and my patients depends on having excellent vision at work. I need lenses that are light weight yet durable and frames that are comfortable. Can't say enough good about the staff at the store for working with me on this.\r The only con is really specific to me since I recently moved away from Philly -- yet still get my glasses from here (3 hours away)! Nice at first.... 6/8/2009

I went in and asked for the price of a frame I had been wanting and since the lady AND the gentleman quoted me $60 less than it was where I live, I decided to order them here. When I called back I wanted to deal with the lady but the man takes over and tells me the frames are more than what I was quoted. So when I explained why I wouldn't go ahead with the order and that I was quoted a very different price the last time, he sounded annoyed and then very abruptly asked me if I was going to go ahead with the order. When I said not at the higher price since I could just go with my optician across the street at home, he HUNG UP ON ME! Extremely rude and very unprofessional. Not a way to keep or gain customers!! Excellent Customer Service 2/20/2008

I took a brand new pair of frames that I purchased online to Eyeglass Encounters yesterday afternoon. They were able to put my prescription lenses in, in one hour. They are fast, and very high quality. I love my new glasses. I definitely recommend them. Eyeglass Encounters came highly recommended to me and I am now recommending them to you.
