Extreme Corals

Scott sent me a coral that almost died during shipment. He told me it would be fine and to let it acclimate a week or two. I did that and have checked all my levels and they are perfect along with the hundreds of corals in my tank. The one he sent is clearly dying and he is now saying there is nothing he can do because it’s past 7 days! He told me to wait and knew about the issue with the photos I sent the very first day it arrived. He sucks real bad more

I have had nothing but bad experiences with them. Pictures that are doctored up and failure to live up to what is promised. I would NEVER buy another coral from them more

I'm not actually sure how they stay in business. The photos have always been over-saturated but seem to have just gotten worse over time. The 'insane', 'one of a kind' 'ultra rare' shtick for standard corals available at almost any other retailer is also laughable. Prices are ridiculously high for what you actually get (even during a sale). Do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. more

It seems like the enhanced image is an ongoing thing with them. I recently received a coral that was DOA and they had the galls to say I was looking at the coral upside down. Be careful because while store credit should be the same as cash, they will not let you use it when they have a sale. Yes, they will dictate how you can use your money. I have loads of emails with conflicting lies after doing business with him for over a year. I guess business must be hurting. more

I’ve purchase many corals from Scott many years ago and spent easily hundreds to thousands of dollars. Up until recently was when he started to enhance the coloration of the Corals. I bought a space invader pectinia from him with the most absolute colors you can think off. It came in with no color. I called him out on the colors and he told me they weren’t enhanced. I then argued if I brought the coral back and if it looks the same then we will continue shopping, if not then i would like money back. He then states I must spend $3000 to walk into his store. I then state if I bring $3000 in and if the Corals still don’t match. I will gladly take his $3000. The conversation then ended. more

I tried to order corals from this company a couple of times now and every time I've gotten a coral that looks vastly different from its photo online. Photos are extremely manipulated to the point of being laughable. To add insult to injury every coral description is 'extremely rare', 'insane' or ' one of a kind' for corals that are available at most other retailers. This place is a joke. Stay away. more

I ordered and paid for 2 corals. According to their website, if you order on Friday they ship to arrive Tuesday. Nothing came. I contacted him and he said they had recieved the order, and would ship to arrive Friday. Again, nothing came. He emailed and said it was storming up there and he would ship for Saturday delivery. He emailed again later, said the weather was too iffy (the national radar looks good and no storms near Dallas) and he was cancelling the order. I am very disappointed with this company. It sounds like I was lucky to at least get the money back. more

These are the same people that use to own Saltwater paradise in Irving TX. I spent a minimum of 20,000 with them. Tanks, fish, corals, etc. Had to move to NC and he (Scott) tore down tanks, equipment, lighting, everything. Told me he would see it on consignment, for me since I was such a good customer. Within 3 months of moving to NC, neither him or his wife would answer my calls or emails. Since then, they closed down Saltwater Paradise and opened Extreme Corals. They can not be trusted. They have approx 8,000 dollars worth of my tanks and equipment. They also borrowed thousands of dollars from a family I know and also disappeared. Do not buy from them or trust them ever. more

Had to give it one star because there's no choice for zero stars. Absolutely horrible experience. My very first order was shipped to me and had one dead coral. I called,sent them a pic and the owner told me that I can only get a store credit. I was upset, I wanted my money back so if I chose to purchase again I will. Since i had no choice, I decided to use the $40 credit on file and purchase a few corals. I was expecting my corals on a Tues. and waited till 4 pm. I knew the corals should have been here by now so i called them. A girl who new nothing about anything I don't know why she even sworks there told me that the owner Scott will be calling me that day. I didn't receive a call. The next day I called and she answered again and she said he couldn't get back to me because he has been busy. I was pretty upset at that point but stayed very calm. I said O.K. tell him to call me and gave my cell since i was at work. Again I did not receive a call. The next day i called and I had to leave a message because it was Sat. I received a call on Mon. from Scott and he said that 2 of the corals looked bad that's why he didn't send me the order. I said ok then I'll order a few more corals with the corals that are good. He said ok so I looked but didn't like any of the corals so then he said I can get a refund. O.K. it's been almost 2 weeks now and still no refund. Today I called paypal and told them what's going on. Terrible,terrible,terrible. more
