Extravadance Studio

They have a clogging team that does relally well in competitions. Last year they got 3 highpoint trophies out of 4 competitions they went to. That is the highest award a team could ever get. They also do accept boys to dance it's just they dont get many. There was a boy on the clogging team for about 5 years. But i am not sure if they accepted him when he did jazz. He also did hip hop too. Extravadance is a good studio and they work hard all year :) more

This studio is terrific! They get better and better each year. They do focus on proper technique and dancing skills and their instructors are wonderful! I really like that the instructors take the time to get educated on the up and coming. Every year there is new stuff! Not the same old, same old. I also like that with the hours and time that each dancer is required to give, they are still able to have a life outside of dance. They do great at competitions and hold their own against dance schools whose dancers spend 9+ hours a week dancing. If you want to spend your entire free time dancing and not have time to do other things of interest then this is not the place for you. But, if you want to be an excellent dancer, be able to recieve the skills needed to make the High School drill and dance teams, have time for friends, homework and other interests then this is the place for you. The atmosphere is friendly and accepting. \r \r The owner is so kind and GIVING. She is ALWAYS there to support the dancers backstage at solo and group competitions. If there is a competition that the studio is not participating in and a dancer wants to do a solo there, she will still go and support them. I really don't think that there is another studio director out there that does that. It makes the girls feel special and important. She is great!\r \r If you choose this studio, I am sure that you will be happy! more

This studio is great for girls who just want to have fun and don't want to commit their entire life to dancing.. They have a great staff and really cute and sweet dance instructors (who are excellent dancers and mentors). My daughter attended this studio for years and really enjoyed her time there!! They are friendly and helpful. This is definately a more recreational level of dance that doesn't require a huge time commitment however, they can definately hold their own against studios that have their dancers dancing for hours and hours per week... I can only imagine that the bad review was written by the boy who had every other priority besides ""Dancing"" on his mind... To rate a studio poorly because they require you to actually be at practice and on-time to competitions, ready to dance is outrageous! This studio is ran by an amazing director who deeply cares for each and every one of her dancers, and is dilengently honest and treats everyone with kindness. The teachers are not only darling girls, their talent and accomplishments as dancers themselves is remarkable. If you are looking for a good studio, with the flexibility to still have time for homework and other activities....
