The BEST!!! Pros: null Cons: null

Worst

The worst time in my life, I was told it would be easy to take care of my husband in about 30 minutes or so I should have been done....12 hours later they had $1150.00, my husband...

I agree 100% with those who see Cowboy Bail Bonds as a\r bait and switch operation. My sister had an altercation with\r Mother which resulted in aggravated assault charges as\r well as a protective order which forced my sister to move\r out of Mother's house. Some bail bond companies refused\r to process my application because of the residency issue.\r Cowboy took the 10%, then told me about a hidden charge\r for an additional bond premium due in 30 days. After 1 1/2\r hours of ""processing"" I was told that I also had to produce\r huge amounts of collateral. At this point I had no choice but\r to back out of the deal and ask for a refund. I hate like hell\r to have to leave my sister in jail for weeks or months, but\r the question of where she will live, at what cost, and her\r inability to go to Mother's house to get her belongings is\r a big problem if she ever got out. more

I learned my lesson the hard way with this bond company. I would NOT advise anyone to use their service. Cowboy Bail Bond will lie to you on the phone about charges & when you get to location, you will get to pay 30% plus other bogus fees. On a $1,000 bond, instead of standard 10%($100), I got to pay $305 & told to take my son to Dallas county jail when his warrant was out of Collin County. When I did not turn him in to Dallas County & instead turned him in to Collin County, I was advised I had to pay an additional $190 fee before they would get him out of jail. I was told they would not try until they had their $. It was also going to take several hours. I talked with my son's attorney & was advised I paid too much $ & he knew nothing of a transfer fee. I tried to get my $ back from Cowboy's but they were refusing payment. I ended going to Doc's Bail Bonds in McKinney. They charged me the standard 10% & I had the papers in hand & delivered to Collin County jail within about 30 minutes. It took me over 1 year to get most of my $ back. I will never collect $50 but I did get the rest. However, I had to file a complaint with the Dallas County Bond department at the Dallas County Sheriff's office. Those officers are awesome. DO NOT USE COWBOY BAIL BONDS unless you have $ to throw away. Thank you Doc's & thank you Dallas County Sheriff Dept.\r more

The worst time in my life, I was told it would be easy to take care of my husband in about 30 minutes or so I should have been done....12 hours later they had $1150.00, my husband was still in jail and they lied about refunding my money immediately. I recommend going to Doc's Bail Bonds on Riverfront in Dallas. I was truly there 25 minutes and my husband was home in four hours! DO NOT TRUST Monte Patterson or his associate Tallon H. They will be very nice until they get your money then they are rude as hell with no apologies. GO TO DOC'S and ask for Gloria she was amazing!!! more

Can you say BAIT & SWITCH? After contacting cowboy bail bond and being quoted one rate on a $1000.00 bond I was confused to learn after the bond was paid I was charged more money after my loved one was released. $320.00 on a $1000.00 bond. Cowboy bail bond does NOT subscribe to the 10% rule like other bail bond companies in the same vicinity. Cowboy Bail Bond is not the bond company you should go through if you are EVER in the unfortunate position to have to use one. After arrest, jail, processing and release the last thing anyone needs to deal with is an dishonest bail bond company. Go right across the street or next door and see what honest practices feel like. Thanks for reading the review and good luck. more

Will Take your Money!!! 2/4/2012

I went in there on 2/3/12 and they said my husband's bond of $500 would be $130 and 2 tickets for 160. After giving them $290 they said my husband would still owe 104.50 for "court fees". When I got the receipt it showed the bail was $225 instead of $130. Last week my bond was $1500 and the bail was $225 so they were really overcharging us. Pros: null Cons: null more

Horrible!!!!!!! 10/2/2011

Never, ever, ever use this company. Not only are they RUDE, but they are very slow and most importantly DISHONEST. They outright lied to me and after I caught them lying they said "Well, there isn't anything we can do about it now". No, I suppose there wasn't really, but perhaps an apology? They made an already stressful situation much, much worse. more

Poor Customer Service 8/11/2011

This was my first experience with a bailbonds man and I have to say it was a nightmare because of Cowboys. There advertisement for $2,500. instant credit is false. We were told different stories each time we spoke with someone. Anytime someone needs to use a bailsbond man it is a diffcult time. It would have been helpful for Cowboys to explain the procedures to us. They are quick to take your money and the not provide the service. I will never recommend them and I found another company that was able to help me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY....... more

Getting the run around! 1/25/2011

Tried to get a bail bond for a friend at Cowboys. I gave them $200.00 up front while they ran the paper work through. They then told me that they would need $550.00. I told them thanks but no thanks and would like to get my $200.00 back. What a runaround. I go back on a Monday after work and they tell me they can only refund between 10 and 4 mon. to fri because they cant open the safe. I go back at noon on Tues present the reciept and ID they make copys. Then tell me it will be there on Saturday. This will be my third trip to get a refund. If they are like this to get a refund, it should tell you what kink of business they run. more

Worst Employee Candy Hernandez 10/15/2010

One Word: Incomptent, every step of the way. 10/8/2010

My experience with Cowboy Bail Bondsman was about as bad as it gets. From the convoluted sign-up, to the uniformed employees, to the apathetic management. \r There is no service with Cowboy. \r They took my money for two bonds, then proceeded to drop them without notice and then continued to call me for my court dates, even though I hadn?t been bonded there for two months. Stay away from Cowboy Bail Bondsman, unless you like having to buy bonds elsewhere after you find out that they have dropped your bond. The only way to know if Cowboy has dropped your bond is by asking your lawyer or when you find out you have a warrant. They can?t even tell by looking at their own system. \r Do yourself a big favor and keep looking for a real bondsman that can actually help you. more
