For a fun, out of ordinary date, I went to the Tactile Dome and had a great time. I've been to the Exploratorium many times and always enjoyed myself. So if you're into science an...

I went there this past Sunday with my family.

YOU HAVE TO GO HERE!! 9/2/2005

I always go back here at least once or twice a year just to see what new things they added to the place. I used to take field trips out the Exploratorium when I was younger and it brings back so many memories. They have so many scientific things that will make your mind boggle. Fascination and excitements lies within each step you take. Beware, going here during school sessions will bring you in contact with hundreds of kids occupying each station. Check out theyre site for discounts. more

great fun 8/31/2005

The Exploratorium is a great hands-on science museum for kids of all ages. It's actually pretty interesting for adults too! Kids won't even realize they're learning so much because they'll be having fun too. Lots of great exhibits and they always have something new. Save money by going on the first Tuesday of the month, when admission is free. more

. 8/21/2005

This place is fun for everyone! it's a hand on museum. Not only do you learn how things work, but you also get to try them out. It's like a playground for people of all ages that's also scientific and educational with things like optical illusion experiments, and a thermal camera. The admission is very cheap more

Awsome 8/14/2005

This place is the best place in the city to go on a first date. It is entertaining and really funny. The exhibits are all hands-on and really keep all ages engaged. The store isn't that great, but it has that good astronaut ice cream that you ate when you were a kit. Also, I would recommend checking out the Tactile Dome more

Exploratorium - Woo hoo!!! :) 8/12/2005

If you're looking for something fantastically fun to do in the city by the bay, look no further!!! The Exploratorium in San Francisco, California is one of the most fun places I have ever visited!!! Remember all of those science classes? Now you can see science in action!! This is a totally kid friendly venue that people of all ages can learn from and enjoy!! The Exploratorium is one of the best places to visit - both for fun and educational purposes!! I highly recommend the Exploratorium to anyone!!! more

Explore the Exploratorium 8/4/2005

This is a great place to go with the family. Kids and adults alike will enjoy browsing all the science exhibits because almost everything is interactive, you can touch, smell and try many of them. The admission fee is reasonable and parking is easy to acquire. Outside is also very beautiful and picturesque. The building and columns are just breathtaking. Many wedding pictures have been taken on the Exploratorium's grounds because of it. more

Super Fun 8/3/2005

Almost every year, my school would take our class to the San Francisco Exploratorium. If you haven't been there about a bilion times, it's really fun. The main highlight of the museum (they even have a commercial for it) is the cow's eye dissection (everybody's so engrossed with the eye, they don't llisten to the person who's describing what he's doing and why he's doing what he's doing). It's pretty hideous- last year a boy even fainted. They have some pretty fun displays (I love the hands on projects the best). more

Science, the fun way. 8/3/2005

This is e very fun place especially for children. They get to discover so many things that they had never even thought of before. They usually don't even realize they are learning, its a day of fun. Adults can have a good time here too, they won't learn as much but they will get to experience all the hands on stuff. My favorite (and i think most people's) is the thing where you turn on a post like thing and to you it seems like you're going a million miles an hour, but others around you see you going incredibly slow. Another one of my favorites is the one where with some kind of energy you can make coins stick together, you can take them home like that if you're careful (they do fall apart eventually.) more

Nice Place 7/28/2005

I had to go the Exploratorium for my high school Physics class. Even though I did not like Physics, it was a different experience than the classroom. I feel as though I learned the most from the exploratorium because I was ble to actually see the Physics concepts behind things. Although some of the exhibits were repetitve, I learned a plethora of things. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to learn. more

cool!!!!! 7/25/2005

The exploratorium is really for people of all ages! My favorite thing was always the room where you jump in front of that screen and the light flashes and it leaves the image of you in mid air doing air guitar or something less geeky : ) . But really, this place is thriving with cool scientific stuff. Bring your kids andf they will have a great day and you will too!! more

Awesome place 7/19/2005

I love the Exploratorium!! Even though I wasn't much of a physics fan back in school, this place is the best. There are so many exhibits to look at. And the best part about the exploratorium is that almost everything is a hands on expereince. Thats what makes this place unique and interesting. I would recommend this place for all people. You learn alot and have fun too. more

Lovely place 7/16/2005

Fun for all! I've learned so much here and I wasn't even there that long. They have everything for a small child to an adult. I love coming here and having a blast. You can literally lose track of time when you are in here because there's so much to look at. I love their exhibits and toys. I will definitely go here again with friends and family. more

I'm the odd one out 7/11/2005

After reading the other reviews of the exploratorium I feel bad for being the odd one out who didn't like it. The outside it completely gorgeous. Inside though, it's not so nice. The place is always packed. Some exhibits are so popular you really don't get a chance to look at them. I've heard really good things about the tactile dome but it's always booked up when I can go. more

The funnest place in the world? 7/3/2005

Dare I say it? Yes, this may be the funnest place I have ever been. It's hands on science that would be great for kids, but everyone I've ever taken here has had a blast. Perfect for out of town visitors. Make sure to see the tactile dome. It's a pitch black maze you have to navigate through. more

Great for everyone! 6/18/2005

Absolutely anyone of any age will enjoy visiting this icon to modern science and technology. Deffinetely worth the price of admision. I would recomend visiting during the off times if you want a chance to play with some of the more popular atractions. more

Great hands-on museum 6/15/2005

If you have kids, or live in the Bay Area, you have to visit at least once. With hands-on demos revealing all sorts of scientific principles, it's a blast. (Favorites include a giant soap bubble-making aparatus.) They're always adding exhibits, and as an added bonus you can watch their development lab to see what they're working on. more

Exploratorium 5/25/2005

The Exploratorium is a great place to experience the many different sciences out there. This place is a great place to bring kids. They have all kinds of displays. It's located right near the bay and the palace of fine arts, so the scenery is nice. Overall i give this place 5 stars. more

Science Needs Facelift? 5/19/2005

I love science musuems - and I love the Exploratorium - don't get me wrong. They have wonderful hands on exhibits that make everyone go, 'ooooh, cool!' Unfortunately, perhaps too many people have handled the exhibits as they seem old and tired. The upside is they do have a great science outreach program and special exhibits. PROS: Everyone loves interactive science. CONS: A little worn out. more

Fun for Children and Scientists 5/8/2005

The Exploratorium is an interactive educational museum for children. Sometimes the explanations for the displays can be a little confusing, but the main goal is really about showing the kiddies that science is kind of cool. Over the years, they've had fake tornados, optical illusion rooms, and musical instruments to smack around. Kids like it here. more

science lovers beware! 2/28/2005

In the Palace of Fine Arts. there are more than 600 interactive science exhibits. Daily 10-6 Admission $9; over 65 and students with ID and ages 6-17 $5, ages 3-5, $2.50; free to all first Wed. of the month! I liked it although not being much of a science buff a couple hours was enough for me!! more
