Exotic Tan

I called the store to make a sunless tan appointment about 3 weeks - a month ago. The girl on the phone told me the new store manager was out of town and she was unsure about the Labor Day/weekend hours. I explained to her that this was 21st birthday so it was very important for them to let me know if they would be closed so I could make other arrangements. She promised they would call if the appointment made would not work out. Pros: none that i know of Cons: poor customer service, doesnt seem to care about the customers more

I just had my first ever spray tan done at Exotic Tan today and just had to post what a wonderful experience I had! I have to say, I was very nervous and a bit self-conscious about doing this, but after reading the other rave reviews on here, I decided to give it a try. Christina took lots of time with me and explained everything about the process and answered all of my questions. She was super friendly and welcoming, and above all, she made me feel totally comfortable and at ease, which is really something when you consider I was in my birthday suit in front of a stranger! On top of it all, my tan looks FABULOUS! Very even and natural looking - I am thrilled with the results! From the first time I called to make the appointment to the time I walked out the door, I experienced nothing less than excellent customer service - you can tell that Christina really cares and wants her customers to be 100% satisfied. This salon has it all. A friendly staff, great customer service, unbelievable results, and the spray tans their are to die for. I went there to sign up for the $26 a month thing and I they gave me half off on my first spray. I could not believe the color I got. Shannon was the one who sprayed me and she was so great. I have to say that I was a little nervouse standing in front of a real person with my birthday suit on but Shannon made me feel so confortable. She was so nice and funny that I almost forgot I was standing there with no clothes on. She put me in the little spaceship looking tanning bed when my spray was finished and let me just tell you that I had no blotchy spots, my feet and hands look normal, I didn't breakout with a bunch of zits all over my face, and the tan that I got was so natual. I looked like I had just walked in from some exotic island. This salon offers a garentee with all of there spray tans so if I wanted it darker I could call her back and she would have fit me in the next day to ensure my happiness with this service. Needless to say the spray was perfect and I didn't need to go back for any touchups but I am now an life long client with exotic tan. I have been telling every person I know where to go and get their spray tans and this salon has never let me down. People from work think I am the best person in the world because I found exotic tan online. If you have never done a spray before check them out and tell them Sara sent you. They know who I am! Almost 2 years ago I searched the triangle high and low to find a tanning bed worth my money. Most of the tanning salons I came across were way over priced, and had young ditsy girls working in them. I've paid $60 a month for unknowledgeable service, not that great of color, and not to mention when my time was up in the tanning bed and I was getting dressed, the employees would come around and knock on the door telling you to hurry up. Pros: Owner is there almost every day, 17 low beds, 2 medium, 2 high, and a stand up Cons: nothing, this place is wonderful more

The service at Exotic Tan was great! I got the spray tan to eliminate my tan lines. I was in a wedding and had to wear a strapless dress. The spray tan did a great job to dimish my tan lines. I have a very light skin tone, almost pasty white, and I burn very easy in the sun. A friend of mine suggested I try a spray tan at Exotic Tan. She told me a certified technician does the sprays and it looks really natural. I stopped by after Christmas and talked to the owner, Christina. She explained how they have several spray solutions and she suggested we start with the lightest solution since I am so fair. She also suggested I try 5 minutes in the standup booth after the spray which is a medium pressure. She explained that it would help dry the spray sooner and it would start giving me some protection from the UV rays. I have to tell you, it looks great! I was so afraid it would turn out orange but it looks so natural my friends wanted to know where I went over the holidays to get such a great tan. They had no idea it was a spray tan. Christina was great and very knowledgeable. She really made me feel comfortable and special. If you have problem tanning like I do, stop by Exotic Tan and talk to Christina. I was a member at another local salon for the past 5 years and it seamed like I wasn't getting as dark as I should. So I went over to exotic to try it out just for a couple of sessions to see if there was a differance. Well I am now there client for life. I got the tan I wanted in just a couple of visits. And when I was greated by the owner on my first visit it made me feal important even though she is there most of the time. I love that I don't feel pressured, which makes for a relaxing session. I am a bigger man and this is the first tanning facility which I have found that I felt comfortable. I had no problem using the high pressure booths and got a great tan. Another nice thing about Exotic Tan is that I was not made to feel unwanted because of my size. The staff was very helpful especially explaining the different types of tanning lotions. I signed up for the Premier Club membership after the staff explain how I can get the high pressures, medium pressures and standup for half price as a member. Exotic Tan is great place to tan. The staff makes you feel right at home and treat you like family. They take the time to explain the different tanning options and lotions that you can use. As for the price, I think they are the most reasonable in Raleigh. I look forward to going 2 to 3 times a week. The color I get is better than any other salon I've been to. I HATE WRITING REVIEWS BUT IN THIS CASE I HAD TO LET PEOPLE KNOW. I HAVE BEEN TANNING FOR 15 YEARS AND HAVE TANNED AT MANY SALONS. I RECENTLY ARRIVED IN THE RALEIGH AREA AND HAVE TRIED A FEW SALONS IN MY AREA BUT WASNT GETTING A GREAT TAN AND A CO-WORKED SAID TO TRY EXOTIC TAN BUT I DIDNT WANT TO DRIVE 15 MIN TO GET THERE IN N. RALEIGH. WELL I FINALLY BROKE DOWN AND DROVE OVER THERE. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE DRIVE. I GOT THE BEST TAN FROM A LOW PRESSURE BED THAT IVE EVER GOTTEN AND THE STAFF WAS AWSOME. I FEEL LIKE IM GOING INTO CHEERS WERE EVERY ONE KNOWS YOUR NAME. AND IVE NEVER HAD TO WAIT FOR A BED THEY HAVE LIKE 20 SOMETHING LOW PRESSURE BEDS. (PS BED 6 IS MY FAVORITE). I was vacationing in Raleigh for the holidays from California. I noticed Exotic Tan Salon. When I stopped, I had a great experience. The staff were the friendliest that I have ran into here. I just moved to NC a few months ago and was looking for a tanning salon in my area. I had tried a couple of places when one of my co-workers told me about Exotic Tan. They were running a special on their Sun Club memberships and she told me they are the biggest in the triangle (and lucky me, close to where I live!) so I thought I would give it a try. Now I am Sun Club member! The beds give me a great tan and I never need to make an appointment for the low pressure beds. more

I have been a member of the sun club at the north raleigh store for almost a year now and love it. The place is huge, I have never waited for a bed, its spotless and the girls there always remember me. Not to mention it was the best deal around. Not as flashy as some other salons I have been to locally and in my travels but I swear I always get a better tan there. more
