The exotic body by far is one of the best shops. I WILL NEVER go anywhere else. I have had several things pierced by Lisa and she is just so awesome, very informative and sweet. It is so worth it to come here even if its a little more, which there prices are more than fair. You are going to feel so comfortable there and all the staff members are sweet and personable. I also got my navel pierced last year, still rockin' my bellybutton to this day. Their services speak for themselves- I promise you will leave happy and completely satisfied. The shop is clean and spacious, and their staff are very professional and really know their stuff . They make you feel welcome and comfortable (not rushed or intimidated, as with a lot of other shops). They also have various jewelry to choose from. Their aftercare is simple and it works. This is the second time I have had Mike do my piercings. He does a great job of assisting with the selection of jewelry, prepping the piercing location, explaining the process, conducting the piercing in an almost pain free manner, explaining aftercare, and saying he was available to answer questions any time. I did not have any problems with my piercings healing and I love them! The staff was polite and friendly. I will return to have my other nipple pierced soon! I just got a surface piercing from Exotic Body and Lisa, their piecier, is wonderful. first off when i called they were so nice and one of the guys there told me that the piercing was going to be 70 and then he told me to hold on while he ran to the back and checked with Lisa, and it turned out to only be 55. Little things like that just made my whole expirence wonderful and i couldn't ask for a better shop to go to! Pros: people, clean, atmosphere Cons: nothing more

So... I've not run into ANY of the problems that icecreamcankill has listed. Mike pierced my ear a year ago, and he did a great job, he was very friendly and let me take as much time as I needed because it was my first piercing and I was nervous. It's healed well, and I'm very happy with it. He didn't even ask me, or any of the other people in the shop to cast a vote for the SnR... I've been in their shop on multiple seperate ocasions, and I've never had a problem with their service, and I've never seen anyone get forced, or even asked to submit a vote... so... Pros: Mike was a friendly, respectful, and skilled piercer. Cons: I didn't notice anything worth writing down. more

I had Lisa pierce my nape and she did an amazing job i couldn't be happier, she was really kind knew exactly what she was doing and the price was reasonable, also she had different jewlery options to suit different needs, im definitely going back here asap more

I had had my nose pierced just a few days ago and found myself freaking out because my nose ring was half way falling out and i wasn't able to push it all the way back in. I couldn't go back to my original piercer because I had had it done overseas in another country, so I went to Exotic. They were able to put a new nose ring in, and had to practically make a new piercing, but didn't charge me for the piercing, just the jewelry. I was pretty freaked out and was almost considering just taking out the nose ring and letting it heal, but the piercer was super calm and confident and did the job quickly. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! more

I got my first tattoo here and they were great. I was really nervous about getting it done, but I had put a lot of thought into what I wanted done. I walked up and they looked at me and asked are you nervous when I said yes they ased why and talked to me about it. Then then Andre, whom was actually going to give me my tattoo sat done with me in the waiting area and answered my questions. he wasn't rushing me or anything which was amazing. when we got into the room he let me know what was going on and didn't lie to me. I've heard horror stories of the pain and he was like "it will hurt like a bad scratch" and it did. I was fine the whole way. we talked about everything. the history channel included which was great. when he was done he fixed me up and gave me all my care stuff. He was great and odds are I'll go back again :-) more

Went here to get my nose ring switched out, and bought a new one. The chick who put it in, doesnt even talk to me or my friend, asks which one i want, she wont even let me hold the tray of jewelry.. there are no prices, so i just pick one that looks cheap, and normal. she takes out my hoop, and puts in the stud, and it was painless, which was nice, then she says i will ring you up, up front- so we go up there and she rings me up at 28.96!! i was shocked! i paid and tipped- and when i tipped she finally smiled and said thanks. Pros: Didnt hurt Cons: Very expensive, horrible customer service!!!! more

I went to Samantha through a recommendation from the piercers at Modern Body.They didnt have the jewelry I needed for my piercing so they raved about her and said they didnt trust anyone else in Sacramento.I get there and at first Im a little overwhelmed walking in cause the music was a little too loud, but they turned it down when they saw I walked in which I thought was very nice!At This point Im still very nervous but figure im in this so I tell the hot shop boy at the counter that I want a piercing. He goes to the back and then I see this super cute bubbly tattooed girl walk down the hallway to go so far and extend a hand to introduce herself.I was so surprised.We do a release form, I fill it out and then she takes me into her bright pink piercing room which was smells of disinfectant and pine sol.lol But I mean that in the best way and wouldnt have wanted it any other way cause I knew that I was in the ultra clean environment.She goes over jewelry with me which was a little pricey cause I wanted jewels but she explained the difference between internally(good)and externally threaded(bad)jewelry and it all made sense that the extra money was going towards good quality jewelry.She cleaned and marked the area and must have changed her gloves 5 or 6 times in between the whole process which made me think about something I probably never would have thought about before.My doctor doesnt even do that!This chick takes her job seriously and with pride.Samantha made SURE that I was fully comfortable and ready for what I was about to experience.She told me to take a deep breath in then let it out.I open my tightly shut eyes and she says your all done.I was so relieved and I truly dont think I could have had a better experience.Samantha is personable and well trained at her profession.The review below shocks me cause Samantha was nothing but sweetness and everyone Ive sent in has said the same.Maybe you were rude to her so she extended the bitchy hand back :) Pros: SAMANTHA!!!! Cons: Be prepared for loud music lol more

I couldn't have asked for a better piercing experience. The staff was friendly and made me feel very comfortable. They were very knowledgable and told me everything I wanted to know beforehand. Mike led me through my belly-button peircing and kept my mind off of my nervousness. The procedure was quick and professional and everything was clean -- much more than I expected of a tattoo and piercing parlour (and this was my first visit to a tattoo parlour). I was able to take my time afterward and the whole experience was great! I highly recommend Exotic Body for any piercing needs. more

This is a pretty good tattoo shop, but I prefer American Grafitti. They are friendly and don't make you feel like you are in a weird scene, or out of place if you're middle aged, middle class, but decided to get some ink. more
