Editorial review from Citysearch 3/25/2014

I am an active duty military member. I am also an RN and I did a rotation at this clinic for my graduate degree. I have been taking my three children here for 2 years by my own choice (by my profession I personally know other providers I could have chosen). I cannot say enough about the clinic and staff. It's a very positive environment from the moment I walk through the doors on every visit and all the staff are extremely competent in their jobs. There was never one time that I questioned their treatment recommendations (When my own baby, now 20 months, sneezes wrong all of my practitioner sense goes out the window and I slip into the ""mom"" mode and I want to rush her to the doctor.). I read some of the other reviews and I have a few things I'd to address: 1) This clinic does take Tricare/United; 2) This clinic is military friendly. Dr. Russell and his wife were both in the Army themselves; 3) This clinic does not correspond with their patients, or students for that matter, via email. I don't know a lot of providers who do this on a regular basis; 4) The clinic is extremely careful with providing information via telephone because of the HIPAA regulations. I ran into the same problem when I was deployed in 2005 (I was stationed in GA at the time). It's no fun and it can be frustrating. But if you need medical records, fill out the paperwork and send it in to the address on the paperwork. I had to do this 3 weeks ago through Evergreen because I needed the records as a part of my impending transfer to Alaska. I had all three of my kids' hard copy medical records within a week. \r \r I hope this review hopes in choosing a provider. Good luck to all of you. more

NOT HAPPY-WILL NOT TAKE MY SON THERE AGAIN 2/27/2012

We moved to the area a year ago and took my son to this clinic. At his 18 month check up the office forgot to give him one of his shots which we had to argue with them when we found out. Have been going there for several months regarding my sons ear infections. He had tubes put in Feb 2011 and Evergreen doctors kept telling us his tubes were halfway in and halfway out for months however his ear infections kept coming back. The doctors told us to wait until his 2 year check up before they would decide if we needed to go to an ENT. This past weekend I took my son to their urgent care as not only is he already being treated for blocked ear drums but now had signs of yet another ear infection. The doctor that we saw said she could not see behind is tube but saw some yellow fluid so she would treat him for an ear infection, in the mean time scratched his ear canal while examining him. Extremely frustrated, and with no confidence in this practice, I finally got him into an ENT last minute this morning only to find out HIS TUBES WERE SIDEWAYS! No wonder they were blocked! So frustrated and will not take my son to this practice again. We were already looking for a new Pediatrician to switch to before our baby that is due in October however as of today we are officially done and will NEVER recommend this office. The receptionists are all very friendly as well as the billing people but in reality you go to the office for doctors and these doctors were not reliable in diagnosing or even recommending anything for my son. Shady. Not military friendly. RXs psych drugs 2 easily 2 kid 2/14/2012

Doctor will not speak to military personnel who are deployed over phone about their own children. Doctor requires that all parties (both parents) be present before they will do it (active duty military cannot be under tight schedules and needs flexibility especially when child is in crisis). This facility has no flexibility for military deployed people). They will not send emails, talk on the phone, require in person updates to get information about child). Pros: null Cons: null more

I Trust This Place 9/29/2011

It is hard to have to take your child to the pediatrician because you need to trust that person with your child's life. Evergreen if the place to take them, they are friendly knowledgeable and my kid actually likes them. more

Best Service! 7/21/2011

We have been taking our children here for some time now and have had no complaints. All of the staff are nice and friendly and Dr. Pollard is very thorough, knowledgeable and take the time to answer all my questions and my kids' questions as well. No-one wants to take their kids to the doctor because all kids fight it, but once we get there the kids always calm down and feel right at home playing with the toys or talking with the receptionist. more

Great Doctors! 7/12/2011

Dr. Pollard has been great to my family. Our last pediatrician didn't have the slightest clue how to treat children. When my son began crying after seeing a needle he was about to have stuck in his arm, Dr. Pollard comforted him by telling him that he cried when he first saw a needle too and that everything would be just fine. My little Johnny laughed when he heard the doctor cried too and after that he was just fine. Kind and caring... I would recommend Evergreen Children's Clinic to anyone! more
