I didn't quite know where to place this review, because the Everett Theatre houses both live performances and movies.
In the summer, they offer silent films (Silents, Please!). They're accompanied by live organ, and the organist, Dennis James, is truly live theatre in and of himself. A few summers ago, I saw two Rudolph Valentino movies at the Everett, and they were a real delight.
I've also seen a St. Patrick's Day performance of authentic Irish step-dancing, a great performance by the Celtic band Flook, and some wonderful community theatre.
The Everett's currently raising money to restore the art-deco sign that used to hang in front of the building.
