I had been living with water seeping into my basement ever since I bought my house. Changing the grade/slope of the soil on the outside (did that 3x over the years) was not effective. Since my basement is finished with paneled walls, I was hesitant about inside waterproofing. Other companies I contacted said they would have to remove the paneling and could not cover replacing it. Everdry waterproofed my house inside and outside without removing the wall paneling. When they explained the work that was to be done, I opted to remove the floor tile (it was old and ugly anyway!!). I chose to wait a good long time to see if the process would be effective before installing any floor covering. It's been almost 2 years now, and I am confident I can put anything I want on my nice, dry floor!
They went through the floor on the inside and installed a sump pump. On the outside, they dug a huge trench on the two accessible sides of the house to install a vapor barrier to the structure and a drainage system in the ground. They did an outstanding job! The crew was timely, orderly, courteous and cleaned up after themselves. They put up plastic sheeting barriers to protect my things in the basement (I was instructed to move everything to the center of the room to give them work space around the perimeter). They also installed plastic sheeting at the basement entrance to keep the basement dust out of the rest of my house.
My job was started right before that heavy rain in Nov. 2013 and I was extremely grateful, since none of that water came into my basement. That was the winter of "The Big Snow" followed by "The Hundred Year Flood" that spring. Thanks to Everdry, I stayed dry throughout all of it.
