I just wanted to put in my two cents about Eva's Bridal in Oak Lawn. It's been an emotional time to order a dress from them - about 2 weeks before my dress was to arrive, the place burned down. Then they moved twice into different temporary locations. Good thing I checked the website the morning that I picked up my dress...they had just moved that day, and the old temporary location I drove past was boarded up, no signs telling people they moved (again). Despite these headaches, my experience with Eva's Bridal has been pleasant. Yes, they are a family-owned business, so things seem a little old-fashioned in the way they run it. But they were great about following up with me, and I never had any problems making appointments or any issues with Rania the owner (some of these reviews really scared me!). I would also like to add something to ease other Brides' worries: my dress fit perfectly!! I was losing a little sleep due to some reviews on here, I have to admit. But they write your measurements on your receipt, and I was right there with my salesperson when she looked at the size chart to order my dress. I had absolutely no problems with my salesperson ordering the wrong size. When I showed up to pick up my dress, I tried it on, paid my balance in cash and that was it! Easy and simple. Yes, it is cash only. Many brial salons work this way. No, it's not because they are hurting for money. No, it's not because they are a shady business. Since all sales are final, it's simply an extra precaution to make sure they are paid (if you pay with a credit card, there is still a chance you can cancel the order though your credit card company). So overall, I have no complaints with Eva's Bridal. They are just a family owned business trying to survive in today's crazy world. I wish them all the luck in their new location, when they finally find it!
