Worst Brazilian Wax Ever! 1/18/2012

I receive Brazilian waxes often. Hence, a professional, clean, and relatively pain free experience is important to me. European Wax Center was the worst experience I ever had. The wax they use is a hard one, that is pulled off (rather than with a strip). The waxer, hence, needs to use very large strips to remove hair. It is the most painful experience ever. I would not recommend this technique to anyone. Stick with a spa or J-Sisters. THIS IS THE WORST. more

Not Good 10/11/2011

They made me wait at for a 9:15 am appt. The wax is less painful but it doesn't pick up a lot of the hair. Plus, she was pulling it off excruciatingly slowly and said she needed to do that to catch the fine hair. After waxing my toes twice, none of the hairs came out and she had to tweeze them ALL one by one. The bikini wax didn't go past low low cut underwear. The full leg wax today took an hour. Their music was the worst MUZACk ever, worse than the dentist's office. They said that had tried to change it many times. The staff was nice but I'm sticking to Max Wax in my UWS neighborhood. more

I've been to both European Wax Centers in NYC and have had a wonderful experience at both. Great service, friendly staff and a very clean and professional workplace. I highly recommend EWC for anyone looking for any types of waxing in nyc. more
