I visited the spa for a French manicure the Wednesday before New Years Eve. I had never been to this spa before, but I had received a gift certificate for Christmas and thought I would try it out. My nails looked great, except for the fact that the manicurist didn't cover the entire nail with polish. When I questioned her, she explained that a nail is not supposed to be completely covered with the polish. (okay news to me, but whatever) After reviewing my nails I noticed that there were two little black fuzzies stuck to my nail. I pointed them out to the manicurist and she claimed that she could not see what I was talking about. After 5 minutes she sighed and decided to paint white over the tips where the fuzzies were located. However this made it look even worse. I asked her to repaint the two nails and she seemed aggravated, but finally complied. Now lets fast forward to Friday.............On Friday I noticed that my manicure was completing peeling off and my nails looked horrible. However I was out of town for the holidays and there wasn't much I could do. I attempted to call the spa several times, but kept on getting a recording that stated they could not come to the phone. I finally reached someone on Wednesday and they agreed to fix the nail polish. When I went to the salon, I was given the cold shoulder and the staff wasn't very friendly to me. The manicurist scolded me like a child and made me feel very uncomfortable. She claims that the nail polish will only last for 5 days if I didn't take a shower. Who doesn't shower on a daily basis. The manicurist didn't speak to me the rest of the time, and refused to assist in choosing a color for my nails. The polish job only took 5 minutes. She didn't even escort me back to the front of the salon. I couldn't believe how I was being treated. I will never return to this salon again. I can see why this salon only had one other client in it on both days that I had visited. Very poor treated of their clients. more

i visited Europa salon and spa, given the name its obviously a European spa (right) i purchased kerastase and i forgot to ask if there was a product geared towards protein. so i called and i stated to the young lady "im African American and i need a mild but moisturizing protein treatment "does kerastase manufacture a product geared towards "protein" she then asked me "what, are you looking for afro sheen"i was thoroughly offended and asked to speak to a sup who never returned my calls and i had to keep calling there and when i got the chance to speak with casey she then advised me that the young lady "said she never asked me that" and that "they stand behind their staff" i then told her i spoke to her on a phone where conversations are recorded for quality purposes and she said that she would like to hear the tape b/c she doesn't believe me. now if this isn't the most ignorant group of individuals I've ever experienced, i don't know who is, how about apologizing for the experience, don't call me a liar! im a hard working young lady and i don't have time to sit and wait for phone calls and hunt people down and then lie and say its not the truth, and to add insult to injury act as if i made everything up, but they don't care b/c im not the majority of their customers, since its a European salon so they don't care about me, right! please don't go to this salon, i was livid, but then i must remember, you reap what you sew and believe me they have planted an ugly seed! so since casey doesnt believe me i guess if she ever reads this she will then understand how greatly i was offended and maybe this will let her know im serious, after all, i couldnt resolve the problem with her so ill let the world know and hopefully they will learn to ask questions if they dont understand, rather than degrade me in the process, and call me a liar too, as if asking an african american woman for afrosheen isnt degrading enough more
