Euro Market

I am an American mother who enjoys shopping at Euro Market. They serve a variety of ethnic foods and drinks from Russia. I have found their meats to be of the utmost quality and taste. Moreover, the store clerk has given me a sample of their sausage before selling it to me. Also I have observed the clerks cutting fresh deli meats for me to serve to my children to enjoy, which is another example of the high quality service I have received. Another note regarding freshness is the chocolate candy that is sold at this establishment. I have found large chain stores and convenience stores do not always have the freshest candy on their shelves; however, Euro Market’s chocolates always have a fresh taste to them.\r \r A brief comment regarding their policy on NO REFUND is not a bad one since when I exchanged an item for a different flavor the clerk offered me a more expensive type of cheese that offered a more pleasing taste to my children. The larger chain stores would never have provided that kind of customer service to a consumer.\r \r I appreciate Euro Market offering Americans like myself the opportunity to enjoy the fine quality and personal care that Russian’s enjoy.\r \r I would recommend this store to other Americans.\r Pros: Very Best Assorted Chocolates more

Those who appreciate high quality ethnic food MUST go to this store. The food is absolutely amazing. I go there every other week. The staff is very pleasant to deal with and always ready to assist. There is a wide selection of cheese, meat products, sweets, juices, etc. They also sell very beautiful pieces of art. I think this store was a very good addition to the diverse selection of stores of Ann Arbor: it fits in perfectly.\r more

This small ethnic market has an excellent selection of imported foods from Eastern and Southeastern Europe. There are frozen foods such as pierogie, refrigerated foods such as specialty meats, cheeses, and kefir, and many dry and preserved foods such as candies, wines, jams, and vegetable spreads (like ajvar from Bulgaria!). Product origins include Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, and others. The owners and operators seem to be Russian. Call for hours. I want to share my experiences about this store with you. I have gone to this store several times since I moved here from Russia. I have heard from other Russians who go to the store that you need to be very careful with fresh products. In fact, I have been told to only buy things after Friday, because they get new products on Fridays. I have had 4 bad experiences. The first two experiences were when I bought bread. When I got home, discovered that the bread was moldy. The third time I had cottage cheese whose expiration date was expired. When I found the expired date at home, all I could do was to throw it away. But what happen the last time has made me so upset. I went to the store on Saturday morning and I ask for two kinds of sausages for my baby. I asked the shop assistance about how fresh the sausages were, because I was buying it for my baby. He told me it was fresh. When I got home I discovered one sausage was slimy and smelly. The next day, Sunday, I was the first customer who came into this store. I brought this sausage with me and let the shop assistance smell it. I said that I wanted my money back and he said NO. He said I can only make an exchange for other products and show me one note on the wall which said we do not return money for any reason or something like this. And, he said they are not responsible for quality! I was so upset! Even in Russia, I never had such a bad experience. When there were problems with quality, they were corrected immediately and quickly in Russia. I don’t know why they behaved like this. I understand if I bring something back that I simply don’t like, well than I would understand, but this is different. This was bad food, sold to a customer. The thing I didn’t like the most was the fact they would not refund my money! Why would I want to exchange bad food, for potentially more bad food??? I am very upset that a store like this can represent my country, Russia. I don’t want people in the in USA thinking; “Is this what Russian stores are like?”, because not all Russians do business like this! I would not recommend this store to anybody! more
