Best

What I like most about Dr. Peterson is that he expresses his desire and dedication to his practice and it shows when he helps me and his other patients.

Worst

After seeing Dr Peterson for various orthopedic issues, his only suggested solution was PRP/prolotherapy. While this may be a viable solution, I was not offered any other choices....

Admirable physician 10/20/2011

When PILLS are not enough 10/12/2011

I sustained several chronic injuries while on active duty preparing for Desert Storm. I was assigned as a tank gunner. After 20 years of VA treatment, ie Pills, pills and more pills, I got so that I could hardly walk.\r Dr Peterson prescribed prolotherapy, a series of injections to stimulate my bodies own repair mechanism. I am happy to report, that 1.5 years later, I do not need crutches, knee braces and am almost pain free. \r We have all heard-- "" get a second opinion"". Concerning, Dr. Peterson's treatments, visit him before you suffer side effects of long term medication or possiby unnecessary surgery. more

Non-Surgical Treatment 8/1/2010

I had been having a problem with tennis elbow for over a year. Cortisone injections were only temporarily helpful. I was scheduled for surgery when a friend recommended Dr Peterson. He did ultrasound guided injections of PRP. After some physical therapy, I can now play tennis again. Pros: I am healed more

I have been going to Dr Peterson for orthopedic problems for 15 years. He is an excellent doctor. Pros: non-surgical specialist more

Non-Surgical Specialist 7/15/2010

We are so lucky here in Eugene to have an orthopedic doctor who specializes in non-surgical treatments. Dr Thomas Peterson has treated different orthopedic problems that I have had with osteopathic manual therapy, acupuncture, prolotherapy and now with PRP. Pros: excellent diagnostician more

I HOPE HE NEVER RETIRES 7/12/2010

I HOPE HE NEVER RETIRES. I have now for 25 years counted on Dr. Thomas Peterson to take care of my orthopedic problems. I don't know what I would do if he wasn't available. I hope he never retires. more

I can paddle my kayak again 7/9/2010

I saw a surgeon who said I had rotator cuff damage. He said surgery would have only 50% chance of success. I then consulted Dr. Thomas Peterson - He showed me the damage on ultrasound in his office. He treated it with PRP and now after some therapy, I can paddle my kayak again more

I can hike again?? 7/6/2010

Before consulting Dr. Peterson I was unable to climb one flight of stairs without knee pain. Now I can go on a 5 mile hike without pain. The PRP treatment he did also resolved the Baker's cyst I had on the back of my knee. I thought that I was headed for a knee replacement but now I am planning a backpacking trip. I have to drive 3 hours to see him but it is well worth it.? \r more

Citysearch says they are committed to safeguarding against a 6/16/2010

Citysearch is doing a poor job of safeguarding against abuse. These reviews were not done by patients of Dr Peterson. These reviews were done by people from Chicago who are trying to punish the doctor for actions done by his son 4 years ago.\r Shame on you Citysearch for allowing your site to be a forum for abuse and slander. Pros: very good doctor Cons: slanderous reviews not done by patients more

Horrible Doctor Experience 1/23/2010

I went for a vist with Dr. Peterson. This was honestly the absolute worst experience that I have ever had. He is extremely condescending and a know-it-all type. I was spoken down to and I did not care for his practices. When I asked questions and asked for clarity on a few items, he completely disregarded me. He is just a really pompous individual. \r \r He did not cure what I came in for at all. Other than taking my money and charging me a substantial amount, I am not sure what he did. When I went to another doctor he was stunned at his prognosis. \r \r I would highly recommend not going to this doctor. This was without a doubt the worst experience that I have ever had. Cons: Just a condescending jerk more

Info on MD, not family, please 11/5/2007

I came to this site to get information on the ratings for orthopedists in town, and instead what I found was a tirade that had nothing to do with the physician's expertise as a medical practitioner, but rather his parenting skills, since his son had allegedly committed a crime. This is totally useless, and probably slanderous. I don't know the doctor, but I find this type of entry offensive and tasteless. more
