The staff at this place is the worst I have ever experienced. Do not live here, if you can get a nice warm bed in hell you would be better served. Satan would be easier to deal with. more

I have lived in Essex Place Apartments for a few years now and if it wasn't for the price we pay for rent I would be gone by now. In short, this place is a disaster. The outward appearance is maintained well, but that is how they trick you. The staff is sooooo rude and the last person that reviewed this place was completely right... They will not give you the number to the corporate office to complain and it has since been removed off of their webpage as well. The maintenance people seem nice, but if you have a request to get something fixed you better call a month or two in advance. One time my basement flooded, so I called the EMERGENCY ON CALL NUMBER!!! Not sure what that was for as I did not hear from them until 2 days later. The leasing agent told me that more people had the same problem and they would assess mine once they got around to it. So, if you want cheap rent it might be okay to live there, but if you want to live with crabby leasing agents and ""when I get around to it,"" maintenance people, then I suggest you live somewhere else. At Essex Place Apartments in Overland Park, the staff is a nightmare to deal with, They wouldn't give me the property owners number to complain, so I am going to let everyone know on here what a terrible place this is. Living there was ok, older place, things need to be replaced, broke often. Living in this part of town you think you would get better quality of service.. Well don't expect that here. The staff are people that seem to have wandered off the street and don't want to be there. They are so rude, unprofessional. The MANAGER is one of the most hateful, spiteful people I have ever met. Never a nice word. Asking for help from them is a joke. They treat you like dirt. There are better places around than here. I recommend to STAY AWAY Pros: parking Cons: Service, lighting more
