Essence Photo & Video

We had Mike as our photographer and he did not take as many specialty pictures as I would have liked, which was why I picked him because of his style of photography. He cut my sister in laws head out of 8 family picture, not sure how he didn't notice that. My pictures of me, the bride, with everyone seperate, was taken next to a gutter which I was too busy to notice. I have no pictures with just the groomsman. The grooms father is in every picture with them. My husband said he didn't even know his dad was in all the pics. I am just not really happy at all. Im happy that I have pictures. But the quality was just not that good. The reception photos look like I took them. I think my digital takes better pictures. I was told all the pics would be touched up and thats why it takes a month to get the pictures and none of them were. I wanted to see the proofs before I paid for my album and they said that was not possible. Even if they sucked which they kind of did. I still would have paid to have my pictures of my wedding. The customer service is not the greatest. I will say that Mike was a very nice guy and I thought he did an ok job. Not all the pics are horrible. I would not use them again though. more

Essence was amazing! I honestly don't know that I can put in to words how great a job he did. He was extremely friendly and polite, often thanking us for lining up to take pictures. He had wonderful ideas for shots and also indulged others ideas for shots. We are especially excited that we captured my Dad's entire family. We really enjoyed have Essence capture our big day and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better photographer. Many thanks!! by the way we loved the PORTAL more

Amazing!! Our photographer was very professional and friendly. Half the time you barely knew he was there, which was important for my husband. We got an amazing proof book with about 1000 pictures. The proof book is what helped to sell us. There is no need to use a magnifying glass when looking at the pictures, they are each about the size of a wallet sized picture. They offered a wide variety of albums and services. The prices were based on the album selected. Even though the photographs took slightly longer to get after the wedding, it was well worth the wait!! Designing the album was easy, the only thing to remember is how many pages you get. more

Out of all the weddings that I have been a part of, our photographer was by far the best. He made the day a lot of fun and made sure he got the shots we had asked for. Everyone in the bridal party commented on how easy he was to work with and how nice he was. It was the perfect day and he helped make it that way.
