My daughter and ,I initiated the request for Asylum (We are Mexicans) the: 01/02/2013 and the end of October this year (2013) we had our work permits, social security cards takes 2 weeks to send them by mail, Well after 13 years finally I have a work permit. \r I hope in a week to get my driver's license, my daughter is gonna get some drive classes and then submit for driver's license exams. Truth I thought to start the process of Asylum as a year earlier but had many doubts and thought that maybe it was going to be a deception and lawyers would not achieve anything, rather than staying with our money. \r Still not finished paying the cost of the procedure, but that does not matter have almost a year to complete it with payment facilities, little by little and with our jobs much easier and better. \r Thanks to Paul Esquivel, Jesus Suarez (it is difficult to talk with, as is always busy) Norma, thanks to all the team of lawyers for their support. \r Mario Ochoa.\r \r Yo y mi hija somos Mexicanos, iniciamos la peticion de Asilo el: 02/01/2013 y para fines de Octubre de este año (2013) ya teníamos nuestros permisos de trabajo, las tarjetas del seguro social tardan 2 semanas en enviarlas por correo, yo después de 13 años al fin tengo un permiso de trabajo.\r Espero en una semana obtener mi licencia de manejo, mi hija tomara clases de manejo y después presentara los exámenes para la licencia de manejo.\r La verdad pensé en comenzar el tramite de Asilo como un año antes pero tenia muchas dudas y pensé que tal vez iba a ser un engaño y los abogados no lograrían nada, mas que quedarse con nuestro dinero.\r Aun no terminamos de pagar el costo de el tramite , pero eso no importa tenemos casi un año para terminar los pagos con facilidades, poco a poco, y con nuestros trabajos mucho mejor.\r Gracias a Paul Esquivel a Jesus Suarez (es difícil hablar con el, pues siempre esta muy ocupado) a Norma, gracias a todo el equipo de abogados por su apoyo.\r Mario Ochoa.\r more

My soen just sent his deferrred action application and what Mr. esquivel told us to do worked perfect. try his firm you will see how they know more then most other lawyers. Fifteen years doing this for our community has provenit. \r \r My family was devasted by three of our family members being picked up a a job site and placed into immigration jail. In the Pearsall jail all the detainees and much of the staff recommended Mr Esquivel as the best lawyer in the area. One of my family was told by two lawyers he had no chance and should just go back to Mexico cause of crimes. Mr. Esquivel got two of my family out on bonds in less then two weeks and he fought hard over two months and won my uncle's case and he is back in NY with us now. He is busy, but he is the one to go to on deportation. more

We have helped many in our neighborhood and found ourselves in a situation we could not understand. Our fifteen year old was picked up by the Migra who wanted to send him back to Mexico. We were told by pastor of Mr. Esquivel's office. He helped us fight the case and two years later my son is now petitioning for thie new program for deferred help. We had gven up and Mr. esquivel told us to be patient and fight for his rights...He is very busy and has helped many inour area. take the time to try the offices they really know what to do more

I do not recommend Paul Esquivel. I thought maybe he could help my loved one because of his popularity. You see him on billboards everywhere and on TV. He charged us $1200 to do NOTHING! He is just money hungry. The law office lied to us several times they said they were going to the immigration jail to talk to my loved one and each day was another excuse on why they didn't show up. They even said they talked to him and said ""Oh yes he speaks very good English"" Yet when I asked my loved one he said no one spoke to him. He didn't even show up to the court hearing. We made an appointment to ask him why he didn't show up and on the day of the appointment he wasn't there. He is just charging all his clients $1000 and he only puts more effort on the easy cases. Worst attorney ever! Be careful with him. more

This is my opinion and I hope it helps. Stay away from this law firm. The staff for Paul Esquivel is no good. Jose is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. He belittles the customers and I am not sure if Mr. Esquivel is aware of the way he is, his supervisor Manuel is his uncle so he is bias of repremanding him. No one ever calls you back, I had to call almost every day to get a simple answer. My husband has no criminal record and I was told he would bond out. $3000 later he is back in his country and Paul Esquivel did nothing. I have spoken with other law offices that stated that my husbands situation should have NEVER been a NO BOND situation but a higher one at that. Please go with another attorney. My husband may be illegal but that does not hide the fact that his human rights were violated. I will go to the legal board and to the better business bureau because I do not wish this type of service on anyone. more

well im glad he's helped some one but i would never recommend him to anyone. I paid for his services and he didn't even show up for the hearing, and never even registered as my attorney even after i paid him 1,000 dollars. His legal staff were inconsistent and misleading!! If i could i wouldn't even give him a star of rating.... Cons: He doesn't show up more

I have worked through my state position with families that need help and have no where to turn to answer their immigration problems. With the new hard rules against immigration and the need to find a legal means for someone to remain in the United States who has family reasons that are legitimate to make it necessary to help these poeple stay here, this is a goupd of people who put poor people and thier needs ahead of the bottom line when necessary. If they can help out of the bottom of their hearts, I am sure they can help any family out there who want to do things right and become legal. I think we all need to address this immigration problem. Give them a chance to help you. Pros: It is free to see if they can help you. What else could you ask for? Cons: I wish more people would find out their rights from a place like this. more

mr. esquivel the head of the law firm was my attorney and went with me to court. He explained everything before it happended and insured me everything was gonna be ok. I can not believe he won my case when an attorney who was supposed to be the best and oldest in SA let me down and charged me double for nothing at all. more
