Best service I have ever had! 9/27/2011

My waiter was Max and he is the absolute best. My waiter didn't start out as Max but he realized that we needed something so came right over and charmed our entire table. He provided us with quick and reliable service while still taking the time to listen to us and joke with us. He is absolutely amazing and I ask for him every single time I go to Esparza's. - Mel more

Best Mexicano Restaurante in Grapevine Texas! 5/3/2011

My family and I have been loyal patrons of Esparza's since 1993. I'm in Love with the esparzarita, warm hot sauce and shrimp fajitas! I don't know how you always do the shrimp so perfectly but I wish I could take a cook home to make them for me!! The service is impeccable - courteous and quick. Ive been going to Esparzas since i was 5, it was the place my family went to celebrate, be it a friend in town, a birthday, graduation, anything. Its small town Grapevine Mexican style. The owner is awesome, he lives across the street. The pacman machine is super awesome ( and now theres Galaga!) The salsa is hot and fresh, the wait staff is awesome (ask for miguel, he is the best of the best, sit in the smoking section) I love the appetizer platter, $30 feeds four. Go during happy hour for half price frozen margaritas but BE WARY... One will make you happy, two will set you free... three... well you cant get there from here... Pros: warm fresh salsa and margaritas that are mind numbing :) Cons: some may consider a waiter not blowing smoke up your rear... more

There was nothing good about this place. I wanted to sit on the patio and they refused to serve me there. The food was terrible, and 100% not worth the cost. I ordered enchiladas and my boyfriend ordered nachos, and it looked like a two year old made both. The service was alright, but would have been better on the patio. Spend the same money and go to Gloria's, or spend less and go to Taco Bell, either way your better off. Cons: everything more

Great 'Ritas, average food, disappointing service 9/13/2008

This place is the place to be! The margaritas are famously strong... and delicious. The food is inconsistent. Sometimes it is pretty good, others just average, and occasionally, it is downright awful. I think this has to do with how busy they get... and they do. They have a spectacular people watching patio, and are located in downtown Grapevine, just off Main. The atmosphere is fun, and the inside is pretty. Be prepared to wait, but with a margarita in your hand, it won't seem so long! Pros: Wonderful margaritas, great patio, ambiance, location Cons: average food, average service more

Esparza is aspiring, but not achieving 10/16/2007

GREAT REMODEL!! 11/24/2006

I have loved this place for 10 years! Every time we go over to that area we have to eat at Esparza's! The Margaritas are serious ass-kickin good! They recently remodeled and although the interior lost some of it's Old Home charm, the bar is MUCH better! Food is always consistently great! I wish they woouold come to Dallas - but then again there can only be one Esparza's - and this one is perfect! more

  • Esparza's Restaurante Mexicano is a well known and long loved tradition that is a popular part of the downtown Grapevine experience. Just a short walk off of Main Street on E. Worth Street, the restaurant occupies a late 1800's renovated house inside the historic district. Well known for its atmosphere, Tex Mex dishes, margaritas and local scene, Esparza's has been offering a little something for everyone since 1985. The menu is loaded with a wide variety of delicious dishes and offers a great selection for children as well. You can watch any of our 7 HD TV's in the full bar area for "can't miss" sporting events or just enjoy a casual beverage at the bar.
