Editorial review from Citysearch 8/29/2013

Steer clear of this place. There are other more honest and reputable shops in the neighborhood. No point in maintaining a ""clean"" ""modern"" looking shop if you can't have courteous people at the front desk, honest techs, and a manager who knows a thing or two about retaining customers if they had an obvious and provable bad experience at the shop.\r \r Don't let the looks fool you. more

Excellent Place, Been Coming Here for more than 10 years 6/29/2011

These jokers leaving nasty rude comments below, as I heard from the management need to get a life. I have been coming to Epic for more then 10 years and these guys are simply the best with performance and maintenance. Folks, for true realistic reviews look at their reviews on tirerack. Their Customers who has gotten service can only leave a review. Jokers like JERSEYSSHO and TIMBERG2, when you investigate, its quite funny how their locations are Andover, Kansas. more

Poor Service 6/17/2011

I had a POOR experience with Epic today and will never go back. It took way to long to do an oil change and when I asked about it taking to long they were very rude and I feel like they were talking bad about me in Chinese. more

Very disappointed 12/21/2010

Went there with a $4 off full-service car wash coupon ISSUED BY THEM, but was told ""there is a mistake with the coupon and we can only give $1 off"". In spite of me saying that I had driven a considerable distance, they wouldn't honor the coupon and so I left without getting a car wash. At least the guy there helped me reverse my car out of the pretty difficult spot. Overall, very disappointed with their poor customer service. more

Is it the common sense to inform your customer? 12/5/2010

I had been a loyal customer of this place for 3 yrs. Not because there's anything special about it, but because it's right next door to me. I've never complained about it even I've never seen a dime of discount from them for been there all the time. It's a small shop and the owners are friendly. But my recent experience just through me off. I was there for an oil change and another small job. My coolant system failed the next day. My engine was smoking in the middle of the highway. So I called them. The reception girl was so so sure that it's got nothing to do with their work the day before... not sure how she can know for sure. She's not the one fixed my car. Even more, she read the note and told me my coolant fluid was low. So I asked her why didn't she tell me yesterday. When doing oil change, they suppose to check all the fluid. If something need immediate attention, they need to let me know. Her answer is - you should read your note on the receipt. I read my not alright. But since they always list a bunch of things they want you to fix, how can I know what is really necessary? And I asked her - Isn't it the common sense that if something is critical to fix, you need to let you customer know? Her answer is - Isn't it the common sense to read your note? And she hung up on me. So now you can rate their service for me. Until now, I'm still not sure whether this coolant system failure has something to do with their work the day before. Maybe they broke something unintentionally. Nonetheless, I've been turn down by their service... the certainty of ""not our fault"", the attitude of their service, the inconsistency of the their performance. Now I'm taking our cars to else where, even if that means I have to wait in the shop. more

Car Enthusiasts Look No Further 6/13/2009

I drive a 95 Integra SE. I''m all over the TeamIntegra and Honda forums so I know a thing or two about my car. I have been to many different shops and installers in the past. (From Sears to Firestone to Local Shops to Tuner Shops etc...) I noticed that Tirerack had Epic Auto Care as a featured installer so I thought I''d give them a try. From the moment I got there I noticed the shop was super clean the staff was professional and knowledgeable Even their receptionist/cashier Crystal knew her stuff!!... and their prices were all standard and fair. (No estimates or BS you get from some local mechanics). Their equipment was top notch and modern too.. ************* I purchased the Koni Str.T shocks for my Integra with the Eibach Pro Kit. Let me tell you STAY AWAY FROM KONI STR.T (I had nothing but problems with them and Tirerack and Koni fail to believe it was a faulty shock they sent me and still dont want to refund my money. (Koni has major problems just read up on the forums). ************** But anyway getting back on course these guys replaced the Koni''s that were completely undriveable and replaced them with a recommended good set of KYB GR2s installed the springs and even pointed out some potential issues that might affect the car soon. I also ordered some aftermarket parts through them SKUNK2 stuff... (Their prices were great too better than online) ************* So.... I came back a week later and did some major tuning work to my car. I was there for like 10 hours... they ordered different parts for me 4 times never got annoyed that I kept adding on stuff for them to do. Their installers (Anthony Louie and Brian and others) know Integras INSIDE / OUT and trust me if your a forum head like me you know when someone knows what their talking about ... ************** Everyone there is a car enthusiast like me and they know what they’re talking about. While there I saw pictures of the owners previous NSX Hummer H2 I saw an STI a swapped WRX Integra Type S DC5 Civic SI''s GSR Civics with swapped engines and more... *************** Ron the parts guy ordered parts for me (quality stuff not wack Autozone garbage) and it was delivered and the installers put it on the SAME DAY. Kevin the owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. (He personally test drove my car after all the work was done.(How many places do you know do that?) ************* Let me tell you that this shop is worth the drive no matter where you are if you want your tires / springs / audio systems / suspension / braking / tune-ups / swaps / etc... for your Honda then look no further. These guys even do JDM Engine swaps... crazy.. ************* I ended up replacing axles valve cover gaskets, cam seal shocks/springs bleeding brakes and ABS lower control arms spark plugs and wires/ lower tie bar and more... ************* These guys know cars they know good quality aftermarket parts they only sell and install quality after market parts they run a clean shop professional and their pricing is cheap for the class A work they do. ************* Don''t even bother going anywhere else at least not in Jersey trust me this is my 6th car Ive been to all the shops and I finally found a place that knows how to take care of their customers and know their Tuners inside out. ************** But as far as Tirerack goes... stay away from Koni its not worth the hassle. Stick with Bilstein or KYB. ************** If you treat your car better than your GF(Like I do) then give the guys at Epic a call... you wont regret it. ************** I usually don''t bother with online reviews but I just want to spread the word and prevent people from wasting their time going to other shops... Pros: Clean Shop, Friendly Staff, Knowledgeable, Professional Cons: There isn't more shops like this one. more

Best Sounding Audio System I Ever Had Installed! 9/2/2008

One of the best shops i've been too in a long time. The people that work there are very courteous and knowledgable. I had a full stereo system install done on my SUV, a Acura MDX. Speak with Kevin or Ron, They introduced me to this new line of audio equipment, Hertz & Audison, all Italian made and high quality. They had a nice demo dispaly so you can hear it and all I can say is WOW! Extremely clear and crisp sounds from the Hertz speakers. Kevin was very helpful and walked me through the process of setting up a system for my MDX. I ended up getting a Eclipse AVN 6620 that came with GPS, DVD and Bluetooth, which was a Awesome head unit. As far as speakers, I got Hertz components up front and Hertz coaxials in the rear door powered by a Audison 4 channel amp. For the sub, I got a Hertz 10"" sub box with a built in amplifier. All I can say is my system sounded Amazingly Incredible! From now on, I'm shopping for my car's stuff here. Just wanted to share my experience with everybody, they are a great shop, try them out! Plus I got a free car wash and a discount coupon for their oil change place too! Pros: Extremely Professional and Courteous! Very Clean Shop! Cons: None at all! more
