Waste of money. I have been tanning for 10 years. I have moved to new areas probably 8 times and gone to tanning salons in all of these areas. Never have I had such terrible customer service. Not only were they totally obnoxious and in your face about how you're ""supposed"" to be tanning and how you should purchase not only their tanning lotion, but also a ""primer"" lotion and a completely new facial care regimen. After mentioning a product I used the guy proceeded to basically discredit my dermatologist and insist that his products were better. Ok, so apparently some joe shmoe working in a tanning salon knows more about skin than a licensed dermatologist. \r Skin lecturing and sales pushing aside, I had literally tanned for the full time in another tanning salon the day before yet was only allowed to tan for 8/20 minutes because they insisted I needed to ""build a base tan"". What?!?! If I didn't already have a base tan I probably would've been burning every time I went tanning the week before. So not only was literally every aspect of my experience controlled by them, but then I left without getting a tan! \r Oh, and I literally overheard the owner refuse to allow a woman to go in the stand up when she requested it. She was visibly irritated and even made a comment about the beds being uncomfortable and too hot yet he still made her go in a bed and actually said ""turn the fan on"". So rude. more

I am originally from CA and came to visit my sister in CT. She likes to tan since we are from CA originally. She took me to Endless Summer Tan and the people there are so nice and friendly. They did a great job explaining skin care to me and made it clear they maybe in the tanning business, but they also care about their customers and their skin. I enjoy talking to Howard, he is a really funny, nice and well educated man. I will be back each time I am in CT visiting my sister. more

I moved to CT about a year ago. Yes, at first I was taken back by the methods and the time they took in order to assist and educate me. But, I can say that I have so much gratitude for all they have done. They care about my skin, I never walk out looking burnt or so red I can barely sit down (that has happened to me), they educate me on skin care products and to be honest, I've practically purchased all of their products. My family has noticed a difference in my skin from tanning and utilizing the products they've suggested. Not only have I become a member, but every family and friend who visits me in CT, has joined and enjoy going to Endless Summer Tan. I must say...Howard the owner is the best. All I have to say is why wouldn't you want someone who cares about your skin? more

I have been tanning for a very long time. I just moved to CT and I have been trying to find a good place to tan. This place is A JOKE. First I had to wait 20 minutes to even get checked in. Two people were working but one was totally inept. At one point the girl was going to check me in (who by the way was whiter then white...kinda hard to take tanning advice from) I said I hadn't been there before so she made me wait even longer for a ""tour"". Which ironically you could spin around and see the entire place from one spot. Right when I was going to have said tour another person walked in and I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to be checked in and chit chat. Then on my 'tour"" I was told every detail of the melanin in my skin yadda yadda. This took another 15 mins as she stopped in between to talk about nonsense to other workers. One conversation being about how I do not tan my face because I don't want to look older. This turned into her telling me I am just using the wrong products and she thought it was appropriate to turn to all the other people there and ask them how old I looked to them. That was uncomfortable to say the least!! I was asked to show which tanning lotion I use...well according to her I wasn't ready for that lotion. Hmmm I have been using it forever. So then we go to the desk where I have to allow her to press her fingers on my chest to count how long it takes for the prints to go away. This was supposed to show how long I was to tan for and what lotion I should be using. This ensued to the two girls arguing how many counts it actually was and I had to let her do it again. Then I was told I was required to buy THEIR lotion. I was not ready for MY lotion and they have a PROCESS. Oh and to say something for professionalism...at one point the girl messed up on the computer system and proceeded to drop the f-bomb 5 times in front of me. Ok so all in all I wasted 45 mins give or take to be treated like an unimportant idiot and be MADE to buy products I wanted nothing to do with. I just walked out. It was the most absurd tanning experience of my life. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. more

I have been going to EST for 5 years now. Not only is it the only place in the Hartford area I would ever go tanning, but I have also been getting my hair done there through Jessica (who is awesome~!). The entire staff is great and helpful. As long as I am in Connecticut, I will be a customer of EST!!! Thanks guys!!! more

I have been tanning for 25 years and have been tanning at EST for the past 10 years! The staff is well trained and I have never gotten burned which has happened to me in tanning salons from Florida to NYC, especially Hollywood Tan! It is very important to build up a base and use the proper tanning lotions that are right for your type of skin. Most salons could care less how long you go in for, what type of lotion you are using and if you have eye protection. They normally ask YOU how long you want to go in for, which most people don't know. If you are a 'long-time' tanner, as I am, and don't want their sales pitch, just let them know but they are there to help you! more

First of all the staff has always been extremely friendly and are educated on the proper tanning techniques. \r They want to make sure you don't burn and get results as safe as possible. Whenever they offer advice on lotions you can always say No. You obviously have personal issues with saying no and might be better off going somewhere else. Each person has a specific body type that can react differently to specific lotions they have no problem giving you a sample where you can see if it doesn’t work so well with your skin. Also they beds have a switch for the fans that you can turn on if they get to hot its actually really easy to press. Overall don't take your personal issues out over the internet. Go somewhere else. \r \r For the rest of us this tanning salon is very clean and the staff is extremely helpful. I have never had a tanning salon offer me some much advice on safe tanning most salons don't give a crap and just want your money. \r \r I am really fortunate to have been educated with information I can take anywhere tan now. I will continue tanning and EST because I have gotten results from following the proper guidelines they provided and an thankful to have the experience of understanding what proper tanning is.\r \r \r more

I'm a Amateur Bodybuilder and a New York City Model.. So it is IMPERATIVE that I look good!! I've done my homework in the local Hartford area and this is the only place that truly educates there customers on safe tanning. The last thing I need is to look like a fried lobster on my photo shoots. The actual owner was kind enough to take time out of his busy day and explain proper hydration before tanning, lotions, THE WORKS!! I never feel like a number and they greet me by my first name. They keep track of how many times or minutes I tan so I don't cause any damage to my skin. Therefore I feel confident when I'm up on stage!! Also, the place has a really cool vibe, unlike the other local global so called factory tanning salons where the people don't know anything about dermatology and can't even say hi! At Endless summer I get yelled at ""in a good way"" if I don't hydrate before and after... Once I'm done tanning the staff IMMEDIATELY cleans the bed, which makes me feel good knowing the place is kept clean! Another thing I'd like to add.. I never used a tanning lotion before at other salons, which made my tan so and so.. Howard picked the right combo of lotions for my skin type and within two visits my tan was SOOO much better! Two thumbs up! I just wish there was a Endless Summer Tan in every city. Thank you for making me look good! more

This place is, by far, the worst tanning salon I've ever gone to. The staff is so rude and they really have no idea what they are talking about. They had me tanning at 11 minutes on a 20 minute bed for around 3 weeks straight when I was going almost every day. And there lotion smells awful but they push it so hard you have no choice but to buy it. And don't think that buying that one lotion will quell them...oh no...they will try to convince you to buy some crappy product just about every time you go in. And God forbid you try to tell them the product doesn't work for you...after one use of their lotion (which gave me a rash) I figured I could reason that it just wasn't for me and they would want to keep my happy and give me a refund. Nope. The stupid saleswoman said there was no way I had gotten a rash from there lotion and refused to take it back. I legit tried to reason with her condescending ridiculousness for about 10 minutes on this. I mean, maybe she did know best, she is a dermatologist right? Oh wait... Beyond the borderline obnoxious sales tactics, the staff is also extremely unprofessional. On one occassion I overheard some blonde girl who said she was a manager talking about how inept the owner Howie was, how old and unattractive the space was and how the only reason they are in business is because there is no viable competition in the area. This was after she called a customer who had just left ""weird and creepy"" because he wasn't tanning well. So to recap. The space is ugly. The base beds are super weak. The upgrade bed gets so hot you think you're going to die but really doesn't produce extraordinary results. The staff is a joke. And you will not be able to get a decent tan as they will have you on a ridiculously low minute tally for about a year. So save your time and avoid this place at all costs. Seriously. more

The people working at this place are so obnoxious. You are treated to a 20 minute lecture on how much they know about tanning and trying to sell you every lotion and bronzer in the store. While tanning slowly at first is acceptable, these people refuse to let you tan the amount of time you want. I certainly know my own skin better than these idiots do. They think you're slightly red and will only let you in the bed for a small amount of time. I think it has more to do with getting more money out of people than caring about your skin. It was a total waste, take your business elsewhere. more

I have tried numerous tanning methods from my gym, to ""professional studios"", self-tanners, and spray tans. I have never had a tanning experience like I did at Endless. It's great to see and talk with the owner Howard and his team. They make me feel special evertime I come in. I am given water to hydrate before my tan, they give topical antioxidant moisturizer when I come out and I can have a custom mixed tanning ""cocktail"" depending on my immediate goal.\r The best is the SHAKE & BAKE mattress bed that massages and tans at the same time! It truly is a day at the beach! Pros: Amazing knowledgable staff, variety of beds and lotions Cons: They won't let me tan more than once a day. more

This tanning salon is the best I've ever been to and I've been tanning for 7 years! Its only been my second day there and they know my name! The staff are extremely friendly and very well educated! more

This tanning salon is the best around. I was amazed! Even the bathroom was clean. The employees really knew what they were talking about because I never knew there was so much to the tanning process. i think this is a great place to tan because you can always guarentee great results. Ive been to numerous tanning places in the past and none of them offered me the knowledge that i got at endless summer tan. They really do know what they are talking about! i have a tendency to burn alot, but since ive put my tanning in their hands so to speak i didnt burn once! This place has been by far the best tanning facility I've come into contact with here in the Hartford area. Staff is fantastic, I especially like the fact that each one is certified in what they do. I dont like being just another number to some of the other places. The girls at Endless Summer know my face when i walk in and take the time to discuss how my tanning is going and make sure that i'm getting the results i want. I had a wedding to go to and NEEDED to be tan for the pictures but i had tan lines. We came up with a game plan so to speak and when the wedding came I was very happy with my results. I was always scared of burning at previous facilities because none of them discussed exposure timing with me. I was fed up with burning my skin..it hurt. Best hours anywhere. I work late, and they are the only place open in the late evening hours. The owner Howard, is the most knowledgable tanning salon employee I have ever met. He insists on educating not only his employees, but all of his customers as well. \r \r I personally have a medical condition that gives me pasty white skin, and I always burn. I am not a doctor but it is a proven scientific fact that the fibrous karatin layer where the melanin cells live, thickens dramatically and noticeably to help protect the body from UV exposure. It is also scientifically proven that dry skin actually is dull and does not absorb UV efficiently, in fact light rays are reflected and bounce off dry skin. I doubt that this doctor has been educated in this industry nor cares to learn the truth. She is however aparently afraid to invest a few extra dollars to maximize the tanning experience. I couldn't wait until my 40 minutes of tanning ran out at this place...every time I went there I got a speech about how I needed to buy a new $25 bottle of lotion to thicken my skin so I can tan. As a doctor, I know this absolute and pure bologna. Plus, they would push on my skin every time I went there to see just how ""thick"" my skin was. I found the workers to be nice in a very fake way. I couldn't stand it..I won't be going back there! more

Be careful when purchasing the 10 tanning visits membership: The membership expires within 6 months, whether you use all 10 visits or not. They don't tell you that when you pay them.
