I just bought my third Focus from Encinitas Ford. Everyone is friendly, there's never been any hassle or headaches. I tell them what I want and they spend the time to get it exactly right. You obviously genuinely appreciate what makes a vehicle work well me to understand how my car works. (For example, every time I stop at a red light and the car becomes quiet I understand what Ford did to make my car more gas efficient.) His manage regarding the agreed upon purchase price, it was worked out even though I paid more. For the past 40 years I've been buying cars made in Japan because of their reliability and ratings by Consumer Reports. It took me a long time to decide to go back to American cars and I hope this car will be as good if not better than the cars made in Japan so I can continue buying American. I know other people will also be interested in finding out if I made the right choice. The paperwork was also very tedious and took a long time to go through even though the women helping me was very nice. more

I should have gotten this out much earlier. Just wanted to drop you a quick note andthank you and your entire staff for an outstanding experience. I think the fact that we bought two vehicles from Encinitas Ford is a testament to the quality service your team delivers. As for our representative, David Duncan, I can't say enough about him. This was BY FAR the best experience I've ever had purchasing a vehicle. He was patient, caring and accommodating and I'm glad I had the pleasure of working with him. As for our vehicles, what can I say? It's my first American car (now cars) in over 20years! Today, I am PROUD to drive a Ford. My wife is driving the 2010 Explorer which we both absolutely love. Ford has thought of everything with that car. Honestly, I look around that car and there's not one thing I would change. $5,000 less per year than ourMercedes R350 and. hands down. a better car. I DON'T THINK I WILL BUY ANOTHER FORD AGAIN!!! I need to get this off my chest and let anyone who sees this post know that my 05' Expedition Eddie Bauer is a pile of crap! The only silver lining is that the service Mgr Jeff at Encinitas Ford is great and has bent over backwards to try to help me out where he could. I DON'T THINK I WILL BUY ANOTHER FORD AGAIN!!! I have experienced one problem after another with a pampered 6 year old car with less then 65k miles on it. I am being nickeled and dimed to death on a well maintained grocery getter my wife loves to drive. I DON'T THINK I WILL BUY ANOTHER FORD AGAIN!! The first ding that I had to overcome was the car's supposed 14 to 18 mpg, as it has never topped 13mpg since I have had it. For such a well looked after vehicle I have had major issues. I have had repaired or rebuilt my transmission (now for the second time), throttle body and motor assembly, window motor, rotors, paint cracking under the clear coat ... I DON'T THINK I WILL BUY ANOTHER FORD AGAIN!! I don't know what to do. My wife and I spent a lot of our hard earned earned money on what we thought was a really nice car. The worst part about it is that my wife loves this care with all of the bells and whistles but I am at my wits end. The dealer can only do so much but times are tuff and after a multi Billion dollar BAIL OUT I want a little back!! If anything I just want people to think twice about buying a car from a manufacturer who's slogan ""Quality is job one"" sounds great but is only that words. The proof is in the pudding as they say and I have just not seen it. So yes I guess $40,000 does not buy you what it used to but it should buy a car that runs and looks great for years to come. I have now leased 2 Ford trucks and purchased one used vehicle from Encinitas Ford. All 3 transactions were a fresh break from what I am used to at other dealerships. the only reason i'm writing this review is because i still can't believe the level of outstanding customer service and professional courtesy that was extended to me at encinitas ford. i had a truck and a car to trade in and wanted a new f150 lariet. the owner even got involved to make the deal work and they put together a comprehensive deal that really surprised me from the standpoint of how fair it was. on top of that, the salesman, jeff, was the most pro car salesman i've ever experienced and i've bought over 20 cars in my lifetime. really exceptional and an all around great experience at encinitas ford. I have only had my car for 6 months and the dash board lights started shutting off. I took it to them the first time and they wouldnt even look at it, the manager drove it and said nothing happened while he drove it and sent us on our merry little way. I went to California to visit some friends for the Veterans Day weekend and it started again. I took the car and dropped it off on that Saturday didn't get my car back until Tuesday. They claimed it was the Compressor and said they replaced it which my warrenty covered. While driving home back to Arizona everything was fine. When I drove the car on Thursday it started doing the same thing while I was using cruise control and almost caused me to have an accident because the car almost shut off while I was driving. I am waiting on them to open at this moment which is Friday November 14th so I can (A) get my car fixed correctly, or (B) get me another car because I refuse to pay for something that has been giving me problems since I've had it.....I am also going to contact a lawyer today, because if anything happens to me and my family while drinving this car it is all going to come down to them giving me the run aropund and not trying to get this problem resolved correctly. UPDATE: I spoke with the manager who was very RUDE, I explained the problem I am having with my car and he said it is showing in the system is that I bought the car in because my air conditioner wasn't getting cold. I explained to him that when I bought the car in the dash lights were out and that I needed that checked as well. We went back and forth for a while and I told him I have the sheet hear stating what I told them about my dash and he still said I was WRONG! I hung up with him and called the head Ford and made my complaint about my car with them and she typed everything up and sent it to a local dealership in Arizona. She said someone should be calling within 4 business days. Please spare yourself the headache with Encinias Ford!!!!!! Pros: None Cons: Everything more
