Amazing pianist 2/10/2012

We have dinner at your restaurant at least once every two weeks. We went to have dinner at Manhattan of La Jolla Friday night February 10 about 5:30 PM. The food was excellent and the dessert just right. However just about when we were done, a gentleman by the name of Michaelangelo got up and started playing the piano. this multi talented pianist was just awesome and amazing with his versatile and highly entertaining repertoire. we were totally drawn just like a magnet to the bar area to have a few drinks just to listen to him. we requested a few songs that he proceeded to play and the whole place was hopping with excitement and joy. As a matter of fact we never have seen that place so filled with applause and excitement ever. Who is this pianist who mesmerized us with his piano music??? more

The most romantic restaurant in La Jolla. 2/27/2009

The most romantic restaurant in La Jolla. We had a drink in the bar first. My husband and I loved the veal marsala. The caesar salad was the best ever. You feel like you are in New York. Can't wait to go back. Pros: Ambience, food, dessert and bar more

The only place in La Jolla with live jazz, therefore it deserves 5 stars. The ceasar salad is tossed fresh at your table. Dark, comfortable ambiance with large aquariums. more

A hidden secret in the Hotel La Jolla. 9/17/2008

This restaurant has been around for years and is a classic old Italian style. I love their food, and they love garlic, so be aware! It is never crowded and you can easily get reservations. The interior could use a little updating, and the atmosphere is a little dark, but the food is really wonderful and worth trying. Prices are moderately high, but worth it. The veal here is incredible. more
