Empire Chinese Restaurant

I first headed to Empire after a friend told me they had good food and free soup with lunch. While I didn't take advantage of that free soup (since I'm not particularly a soup kind of person), I did have a craving for Chinese food, though, and ventured out. Ordered a small portion to go, and went back to my dorm to eat my meal. And was pleasantly surprised. The food was great, the serving extremely sufficient (in fact, I couldn't come close to finishing), and it cost me less than $5.00. You get your choice of rice with the meal, as well. Now, I go there about once a week. The food is good and its affordable, which is extremely important for a broke college student like myself. The only drawback that I can see is that they don't take credit cards, so you have to pay in cash. But that's easy to overlook. more

Empire Chinese restaurant is a great place for students who like Chinese food and do not want to spend too much on their meals. Most dishes come in two portion sizes, with the smaller size costing about $5. The dishes also come with fried or white rice, and with free soup at lunchtime. The service is always prompt and friendly, and the food tastes great. more
