I called this afternoon to find out hours. The woman who answered the phone said they are open until 9:30. I asked if I needed an appointment. She said no, come on in anytime before 9:30 so I arrived at 8:30, was greeted and told to wait just a moment. A few minutes later a woman greeted me and said they only take clients until 8:30. I replied I was looking for a haircut. She saw I have short hair and would bea quick cut, but it didn't make a difference. No apology was given after I explained what the girl on the phone said. She said student answer the phone and don't know things. I suggested a script with pertinent info, she said they have one. I asked her if she was the one in charge and she said no with an attitude. Not a good first impression. more

I have been visiting Empire forever, back when it was called Bryland in Reading. It's the best deal in town, for the most part. Now that I am at senior status, Empiremeets my financial restrictions. The students are so attentive, aiming to please. Something not available always, out there, in the real world. and your teachers take the time to find out my needs and do their best to attain it. I have had many colors applied to my hair and foils, streaks, etc. Always fun to come to Empire Reading. Thanks MIss Tif and Diane!! Appreciate everything you do to keep me happy ! more

Diane and Miss Tiff are most gracious when I call in for an appointment. They find the best student for my needs that day. Isn't that wonderful? I think they are superb!!! more

This school made me feel welcome and I'll always let some one know about it. It was amazing, wonderful and great. Empire is the place to go if you need your kids to get a haircut. more

Was pretty good, staff is nice, place is clean, and I got what I wanted and asked for. I love coming to Empire. I always feel welcomed. I always feel like a million bucks after I leave. It is a great environment. more

The Reading school is great and very accommodating. I think you are doing a great job in training the stylists - it shows because Samantha was very professional and very confident in what she was doing. I felt very comfortable allowing this student to style my hair. more
