PHONY, FAKE, DO NOT FALL FOR IT 2/25/2010

Just to clarify for everyone, this restaurant is NOT the original ""Em Le's"" of Carmel, CA. This restaurant opened in 2005, and DOES NOT have a 50 year reputation on the monterey peninsula. The false information that is being put out about Emles of Northridge, CA is attempting to mislead customers, in efforts to woo them into eating the food here. Em Le's Old Carmel Restaurant has not relocated. I eat there all the time for breakfast. Emles of Northridge is a wannabe that is riding on the coat tails of the real restaurant.\r \r Cons: False advertisement, misleading public more

CARMEL CHEF IN RESEDA!! 9/14/2008

I have been in the area over 30 years and to have a good ,fresh food place to eat are far in between. I have had service issues when they first opened, but the food brought me back. After a while , about a month or so , they know me there and are VERY nice and friendly family staff/ owner. I mean to have them in this area? I am thankful they have chose a risky area of even northridge to open their doors. BTW most of the service issues were due to the large numbers of people wanting fresh gourmet foods, i think they have a better handle on that area now. Recommendations : French toast, any benedict(great sauce), rich pastas are .....i really enjoy everything! Give them a couple of try's. Pros: Gourmet foods Cons: area (a pro for me though) more

EMLE'S RESTAURANT 5/27/2007

Terrific customer service from waiters with a smile.. Eclectic menu has something for everyone. Meals are fantastic. I personally am trying each item on the menu and have never had a bad meal. Each meal has been better than the one before. Great neighborhood restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just dessert. French toast is highly recommended. Lamb shanks or eggplant parmesan are favorites. Bread pudding a la mode leaves you smaking your lips in delight. You will not only be full but satisfied after your meal. Once you try this restaurant, you too will be a repeat diner. more

Just OK 5/13/2007

This is one of a few non-chain restaurants for breakfast/brunch in the SF valley. However, the food, service, and ambience are just average. more

good food ,the worst service in the valley 2/4/2007

the food is good i have eaten their at least 5 times but the more i go the worse the service gets.today for example waited over an hour for lunch with no sorry or anything finaly got our food an hour and a half later and the sausage was still raw ...i really like the food but after the service and the attitude from the staff today they will not see me again ,so if u want good food and are prepared to put up with awful service visit otherwise stay away it will onl;y strees u out Pros: food Cons: service, service service attitude more

amazing french toast 2/4/2007

Tired of over crowded Ihop and Denny?s? well, this is the place to go for breakfast. It is a calm and relaxing restaurant. the decor is not that great, but the food is. Their French toast are to die for. One down point? The service is a little slow, but if you?re with the right company you won?t feel it. The price is very reasonable, and CSUN students get a 10% discount! Very recommend! Pros: french toasts are to die for Cons: service was a little slow, but at least we were not rushed to leave more
