Emily's Lebanese Delicatessen is good 12/27/2009

This small neighborhood restaurant is a good find, particularly for those living nearby. It has almost no ambiance, but a good menu of Middle Eastern food, and a deli case for take-out. I wish there was more variety on the menu, but what they have is definitely good. more

Best Meditarranean in the cities 2/10/2009

My family has been enjoying Emily's for 20 plus years and it never get's old. I have tried just about every other middle eastern/meditarranean place and nothing comes close to this. The Tabouli is fantastic as is the Kibbe, meat pies, stuffed zucchini, stuffed cabbage, and my personal favorite- The Grape Leaves. The sole focus of Lebanese food gives Emily's a distinct advantage to other's who may feature it but also have Greek, turkish, or other food on the menu. Don't let the outside fool you, the food that awaits you on the inside is as good as food gets. Pros: Best Lebanese food in the city Cons: Can be crowded if you eat in more

Kabob's! 1/29/2009

I loved the lamb shish kabob's as well as the feel of the place. This is not to say that the ambience is nice but it's this little family run place. I love that. The grape leaves and tabouli were very good as well!! more

Yummy! 10/7/2008

Can't beat this place for what they serve! The chicken kabobs, spinach pies, and tabbouleh are my favorites here. The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired and if you are not looking for this place, it's easy to miss. However, I haven't had this style of food for this price any better any where else. We eat here at least every two weeks. Pros: Fresh tasting ingredients and friendly staff Cons: tight seating and so-so atmosphere more

Best Hands Down 6/12/2008

I CAN?T BELIEVE THERE ARE SO LITTLE REVIEWS OF THIS PLACE!!! My parents have gone to this little restaurant about once a week starting in the late 70?s. I grew up on this food! Spinach pie?s are super buttery and the dough is moist and gewy. (Ask them to microwave it because otherwise they put it in the oven and it can get a little dry) You have to get the #1 or #2 platter RAW. Raw kibbie is the best, take a triangle of Lebanese flat bread, open to make a little pocket, spoon in some raw meat, drizzle with olive oil, add a slice of raw onion, wrap, eat, ENJOY! If you feel like you can?t eat raw meat get the chicken kabobs. It comes with a very tangy yogurt sauce that is also good to dip flat bread and drizzle all over the salad. The rolled grape leaves are sour and citrus-y. The tabouli is MOIST and not dried out like everyone else?s. If you like hummus you have to try their baba ganouj ?YOU will NEVER eat hummus again. Stuffed cabbage is phenomenal. Be warned if you go here you will never be the same. No Middle Eastern food will be like Emily?s. Puerta Beirut, Holy Land, do not come close to mastering Emily?s garlic, citrus, fresh flavors. more

Awesome food, bad service 2/14/2008

We go to this place quite often as it is right near where we live and so I have had the chance to try out their food over a period of two years now. I think they have the best Tabouli in town. My favorite menu item is the lebanese chicken and lamb with rice. They have this sample platter which is also good. I think the food is very tasty, but be prepared for bad service-waiting forever for the food, no refills on water, not being told if there are nay specials, etc. My strategy is always to call ahead and get it to go! more

A great meal for under $10 7/10/2006

The atmosphere might not be great, but the food is delicious. Try as I might, I can never get my bill over $10 per person. The Mistah, warm bread in butter, is wonderful, but I can never finish it with less than 4 people. There are many tasty main dishes, but you can never go wrong with the Baked Kibbi. For dessert try the Crema. You will be surprised by the subtle flavors of honey and jasmine. Pair the Crema with some Turkish Coffee and you have the perfect end to a tasty and inexpensive meal. Insider tip: Order the Turkish Coffee before you end your meal. It takes awhile to make it. Pros: Cheap, Delicious Cons: Servers aren't attentive more

Best Lebanese deli! 12/27/2005

This is the only shop my family and I shop for items we need at home to cook traditional Lebanese food. We get our cracked wheat, lubban and flat bread there, along with olives and grape leaves. They make the VERY BEST spinach pie at Emily's, which I would eat every day if I could. PROS: CONS: The space is small & it's a little tricky navigating in & out w/purchases. more

cheap and tasty 3/30/2003

The food is much better than the atmosphere in this glumb little place in a glumb little street. The tabouli was unique, and easily the best I have ever enjoyed. Everything else was tasty and i will be back to try the rest of the dishes. But the decor.....don't go here unless you are in a good mood! Pros: food, cost Cons: decor more
