Tom & I would like to send a quick note of appreciation for everything you?ve done for us. From the moment I first spoke with Cheryl & Rick Kerzner I had a really good feeling about working with Emily?s Catering Group for one of our most important events...our wedding. I remember looking at Tom with a sigh of relief stating ?I think we may have found our caterer?. Fortunately, I was correct. Every correspondence was an absolute delight, but as they say, ?proof is in the pudding?. During my first phone conversation I explained to Rick how picky I was with not only the quality of food, but the presentation. He listened patiently and then complimented me by saying he loves working with detail oriented people who want perfection because his goal is to create perfection. A couple days later we went for our tasting and were so impressed with his professionalism and DELICIOUS food. Everything was wonderful, but as we were sitting there having a conversation I mentioned liking a certain flavor sauce and within minutes he had his chef whip up the perfect blend...what service! We were having an intimate wedding with 60 people so food was extremely important to us. Our tasting went so well, we decided to hire Emily?s Catering for our rehearsal dinner on Friday night with about 40 guests, our wedding on Saturday and our Sunday brunch with the same number of guests. EVERYONE couldn?t stop raving about the food, the quality, presentation & professionalism of every staff member. We wanted perfection & we got so much more...your service is priceless & we couldn?t be more appreciative. We give Emily?s Catering 5 Stars and are so glad we?ve found our caterers for life, anytime we have an event we want YOU there! I think all our guests feel the same way & we are not easy to please. From the bottom of our hearts, we can not thank you enough for playing such an important role so beautifully for an amazing weekend that will be cherished in our hearts forever. more

Upon asking for a quote for my wedding... JUST A QUOTE... I was told that they wouldn't work with me and if I was still interested I should review their Everyday Catering Menu. Thanks for telling me that my wedding is an everyday occurrence! Also, don't brag and pride yourself on being helpful at creating menus when you clearly want your clientele to do it for you. more

I'm not the type to post this stuff all over the internet, but I want to rave about Emily's. I found them by internet reviews, and despite the ones below, I took a chance. I was glad I did. more

I recently attended a wedding (6/2010) which was catered by Emily?s Catering Group. It was a very disappointing venue, mainly because of the food and service that was provided. When the guest arrived hour d?oeuvres were set up for the cocktail hour, but no plates were provided for at least 10-15 minutes later. It took over an hour for the dinner to finally be served; then they ran out of bread which had everyone complaining. I ordered the beef dish that was offered and was never asked how I would like it cooked, so when it came out cooked rare I wasn?t able to eat it. I did however eat the potatoes, which were surprisingly good. The catering company provided 2-3 bartenders who were ridiculously slow. There was a long line constantly forming around the bar area. When the cocktail hour began it was discovered that they had a limited amount of alcohol on hand. After much complaining from the guests, they finally sent someone to purchase additional liquor which was the most accommodating thing they did all night. I used Emily's Catering at the Wadsworth Mansion for my wedding back in Oct.2007 and they provided me with the wedding of my dreams. I come from a large family where food is EXTREMELY important. The food was fantastic! My family still raves to this day! So much so, that my brother who is getting married this June in Hawaii asked me to call Rick and see if he can come and do the rehersal! :) We planned an outdoor service but had to move it indoors due to rain. The staff worked around the ceremony having to be inside and set up didn't seem to be affected.The staff was attentive, helpful and went out of our way to make friends and family feel welcome. I couldn't have been happier and would use their services in a heartbeat. Pros: tasty food, service, creativity Cons: none more

We just used Emily's Catering for our daughters wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown. The evening started out right with creative and delicious passed hors'duvres. I felt the service was a little slow and lacking at this time but wrote it off to the usual early wedding rush for drinks and food. As we progressed into the dinner, however, there seemed to further problems with the service and food presentation. We had requested station style presentation and got an old fashioned buffett line. I had no problem with the food as it was simple food as chosen by the bride and groom but I was disappointed with the presentation and service. Maybe they do sit down dinners better? Hope so. First experience with Emily's Catering Group was at the Children's Museum Gala at Blue Back Square. Pros: Fabulous, Innovative cuisine. Superb staffing. Cons: none more
