Emil's has very good food, and they actually call you back if they need to, like how you want your burger cooked. Their delivery is always on time when they say it will be. Everything I have ordered has been very good. My favorite is a cheeseburger and poppers. more

Emil's is a ""neighborhood"" kind of place, and has been in business in Mundelein for many, many years(20+?). I think their pizza is quite good, and while I would not put it on my top 3 list, I like it a lot. Beer selections are numerous, and bartenders are open to pouring a very generous glass if you've been there for more than one drink. While I would not recommend their wine selections, I don't really perceive it as a wine kind of place. They have 3 or 4 fairly well known inexspensive wines available, but most of their customers probably drink beer. Luch menu is broad, and their 3 piece chicken plate is a great value.\r \r Staff is friendly, and most everyone there has worked there for quite a number of years. I read a review by a non-white person who felt they were not well received, and while I would not argue with the critical review, I would say it seems to be out of character for this business. While I agree with the critic that the customers are predominantly white, I have seen large groups from Motorola (one mile up the street) that include a highly diverse ethnic group that seem to have done just fine.\r \r As a customer of Emil's I extend my apologies to the customer who was not treated well, and encourage them to try it again.\r \r more

I gave Emil's pizza 1 star because first of all i walked in the place with 4 of my buddies and the whole place stopped what they were doing to give us the stare(even the chef and the waiters).Wish i didnt have to mention this but we are not caucasian,perhaps thats why we were stared down in this caucasian dominated place.Second of all we got served once for the whole night,what kind of service is that?Third the place smells and what great pizza are they talking about?Fourth of all the place is small and it seems like they all know each other, where is the entertainment?I bet you guys my life that if you put some brighter lights in the place it wouldnt look as nice(not that it already is).Fifth of all its seems like there is a rascist meeting in there because most of the younger fellas are bald.So if you are not white i dont recommend it ,if your caucasian i still dont think you will enjoy the place and parent please dont take your children to this place because for the money they charge you,you can surely enjoy yourself in a better enviroment. I have only visited Emils once when I was in town visiting a friend who not only frequents the bar himself but works there. I found the atmosphere very much to my liking. The service was outstanding and the food was very tasty. I would recommend this place as an afterwork bar to kick back and watch a game and enjoy spending time with friends. We went to Emils in search of a neighborhood pub to spend our Friday evenings at. It was okay. There were no booths to sit at, just a few bar height tables. The pizza was pretty good, but the buffalo wings are the best! Juicy and hot and not at all rubbery. We keep going back every week just for the wings. And trust me, we are connoisseurs.
