I grew up in Commack & had gone to Emilio's since it was Carmella's. Those of you in Commack know how long ago that was. I moved to Chicago about 1 1/2 years ago. The people I work with kept telling me that Chicago had the best pizza and everytime I tasted another pizza I almost threw up. I kept telling them "You don't know good pizza." I finally came home this past week & stopped at Emilio's & brought back pizza to Chicago. The following day I took it to work & heated it at lunch time for them. My manager looked at me after one bite & said "This is incredible pizza." I said "I know, New Yorker's know good pizza, Chicagoen's don't. You don't make the crust like a bisquick crust & you don't put corn meal IN the crust." Even Gino's deep dish in the city is disgusting! Chicagoen's need to fly to NY to eat at Emilio's for some real pizza. They will never find it in Chicago.
