Dr. Van is excellent as is the entire staff. I have never had a more sensitive dentist that gives a great follow up call on the evening of an appointment to check on my well being. more

Dr. Van and his assistant did a wonderful job with my new crown. Thanks. more

I have been a patient at Embassy for a couple of years. The staff as a whole offers a warm greetings followed by a smile. I always feel important, like I matter. I love Dr. Van and I love my hygienist. They are both very personable. more

This was one of the nicer dentists I've been to. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Everything was clearly explained to me about what was going to be done and the options I could choose to have. My word of advice, if you end up going, make sure you know what you're paying for (laser treatment, oral exam, fluoride, etc.), otherwise you're bill will be a lot higher than you expected and you may not be too happy. more

Biggest Rip Off Ever - DO NOT GO THERE 1/13/2012

I wish I would have read the reviews prior to going. I went last year and spent an hour and a half getting xrays and being told about adult braces. My teeth did not get cleaned and then I was told that I had inflamed gums and would need $300 worth of antibiotics and also that I would need to have cavities filled. I hadn't been to a dentist in years and so I thought it seemed possible but I was upset that they never did clean my teeth and so out of principle I didn't go back. Earlier this week a friend of mine was talking to me about an awful dental experience. He said he went in and didn't get his teeth cleaned either and on top of that was told he needed three crowns! Turns out he went to Embassy Dental too! He made an appt with a dentist on Belcourt Ave, Dr. Robert Foster, and was given the advice of having three fillings. He went from thinking he needed three crowns to three fillings!!! I decided to try Foster too and came back with a clean bill. Nothing wrong, and that was a year after visiting Embassy when things should have only gotten worse! Embassy Dental is a complete rip off. I have never experienced such a horrible dental practice. They need to be put out of business. more

Great Dental Office Experience!!! 10/23/2011

I recently had a lot of dental work completed by Dr. Van at Embassy Dental. I'm not sure what these other posters are talking about. Not only was the office manager upfront and accurate about my co-pays but she helped to find financing as well. Dr. Van is the greatest. My treatment was completed to my satisfaction and was relatively painless. There will be no other denta office for me. more

Be prepared to overpay without apology 8/11/2011

After being overcharged twice for services at this office, I will never step foot in an Embassy Dental location again. At the time that I was receiving a dental implant, I was dually enrolled in two insurance plans: my student insurance plan and my parents' insurance plan. It almost goes without saying that my parents' plan had far more generous benefits; however, Embassy Dental considered their plan to be a ""secondary"" insurance since it wasn't held primarily in my name. While Embassy Dental told me initially that its staff would only file with my primary insurer and that I would have to file any claims on my own, I was never informed that Embassy Dental would bill me at the uninsured rate -- over twice the amount of what my secondary insurance would have charged! Of course, I was fully enrolled in BOTH plans. When I attempted to redress the situation, I was told that their office was permitted to treat primary and secondary insurance plans differently. Yet in the conversations I had prior to my implant, no one ever told me that. And if that wasn't enough, I realized during the course of my back-and-forth that Embassy Dental had overbilled me for nearly $300 on other services during the nine months I was a patient there. After repeatedly calling both the Brentwood and corporate offices, Embassy Dental finally reimbursed me for this amount; however, to this day, they refuse to reimburse me for misleading me on my dental implant -- or even apologize for not being fully honest and transparent. While I never had problems with or complications from the actual dental services I received from Dr. Van, I am greatly disappointed with this office's lack of professionalism, courtesy, and transparency. Especially during these difficult economic times when everyone is trying to save money, I hope no one else has to have a similar experience. more

I love Dr. Van! 7/28/2011

I love this place! We're new to the area for my husbands job and I will be honest and tell you I hate the dentist! I always get mean ones! Dr. Van is so the exact opposite of that. He's nice and kind and caring. I love that they are high tech too. It sets my mind at ease. I can see all my teeth up close and personal on the tv's and they even have stuff from Dr. Oz!! I got a Velscope test and I am proud to say nothing is wrong! I am getting my old silver fillings out from when I was a kid but other then that nothing new! I feel like I am in good hands and that makes me feel relieved. more

Beware 6/30/2011

We are new to the area and signed up for Dental HMO (DHMO), which meant we were limited to Embassy or Castle Dental centers. We selected this office based on positive reviews we had read regarding the staff and dentist Dr Van. Mistake! On a positive note the staff is really nice and accommodating, easy to make appointments, and the hygienist seemed to perform a thorough cleaning. Now the ugly... They recommended both my husband and I to get 2 crowns each. I was skeptical after my husband said he needed 2 as well. We both have good teeth and have never needed anything close to that and it was going to be about $3000 out-of-pocket for us. So we got our X-rays and got a second opinion. The second dentist said that neither my husband nor myself needed anything!!! Not even a filling. He even repeated our X-rays for free because the other office could only give us paper copies from a standard printer. With that said I am well aware of the differences in practice, just trust your instinct and don't hesitate to spend $50 on an exam for a second opinion before spending thousands of dollars. more

Snake Oil Salesman 2/19/2011

Horrible dentists! Two people in my own family have gone to them and had or have been suggested high priceded treatments that were uneccessary. One of my family members had the work that they said was covered by insurance and then the company would not cover their work because the insurance company did not see that filed work was neccessary. You go in and trust a dentist to know what he or she is doing, not that they are just selling you expensive products. These people are just about suggesting high priced treatment to make the money. more
